Brad's no friend to renters. Just ask the residents of 500 Dawes. As councillor, Brad ignored tenants for 8 years. Now he is pretending to care because there's an election. The only thing Brad cares about is his own ambition. Read how Brad abandoned his constituents yourself ⤵️
Half of Toronto rents. Here’s a plan to deliver real change for Toronto’s renters: 🏠 Keep: Enforce renoviction rules and hold bad actors accountable with public reporting. ❄️ Cool: Guarantee at least one cool room in every rental, without a rent hike to pay for it. 🏗️ Build: Give non-profit builders clear rules and early funding to get more affordable housing built. On October 26, vote for change.

TTCriders is shocked that #TTC is ending free Wi-Fi, with so many questions about the true cost of keeping the service still unanswered. Orgs like @TorontoACORN are demanding Wi-Fi funding in the 2025 City Budget. We'll keep pushing for answers. 🧵 ttc.ca/news/2024/December/Fr…

Toronto’s Planning & Housing Committee passed the anti-renoviction bylaw! @TorontoACORN members spoke out against predatory landlords using renovictions to displace tenants for profit. Now, they are working on the final step to urge City Council and the Mayor to pass this bylaw

The renovictions bylaw just passed Toronto's Planning & Housing Committee! 🎉 Our staff have been advocating for and working on this bylaw since 2019. We hope we never have to help another tenant fight a renoviction again. Thank you @PaulaFletcherTO @TorontoACORN @TorontoTenants

$200 might help a low-income family cover half of one (1) grocery bill after their rent gets hiked above the guideline! Gee, thanks Doug! 🙃
Same Doug. Same old bag of tricks. You know an election is around the corner when @fordnationdougford tries 2 bribe voters with checks in the mail 💸 $200 won't fix Ontario's cost of living crisis or make #housing more affordable. But full rent control would. #onpoli

📢 Great news! Today, city staff released their recommendations for Council to approve a renovictions by-law. This is a big step forward for Toronto. I’ve worked hard alongside tenants & housing advocates to bring forward this by-law to protect renters & our existing affordable housing supply. Learn more: tinyurl.com/3647dzrt

500 Dawes Rd is an unsafe building. @cityoftoronto does not have a plan to remedy the situation, and @BradMBradford has only attended during campaign visits. If 650 Parliament or 77 Howard are reliable precedent, the City won't act until it's too late. #TOpoli
Replying to @cityoftoronto
The tenants of 500 Dawes Road are still waiting for @cityoftoronto , MLS, RentSafe, TOBuilding, @BradMBradford @CarletonGrant , and a lot of others, to do something about 500 Dawes Road. Assurances without action is not enough. Our Building is not safe. #TOpoli
