Notice how she didn't say the prosecution has to prove harm, but that the defendant has to prove a lack of harm?
Sex workers are often the canary in the coal mines when it comes to legislation.
They're trying out "guilty until proven innocent" on us now.
It'll be you tomorrow.

Hi there, as the person who introduced the amendments which led to this ban, I can tell you that the law already bans non-fatal strangulation and attempted suffocation. Consent can be a defence in situations where there is not serious harm but is for the defendant to prove.
Interesting how OGCs and terror groups are one step ahead of the police in most of Europe when it comes to adopting drone tech
Technology has always favoured the terrorist.
The PSNI, as presently resourced, will struggle to deal with this emerging threat, and legislation is too slow to identify solutions.

The major issue here is that these laws don't get repealed. If they're incredibly vague it means that a future govt (poss Reform) could use them to criminalise much more mundane acts, or persecute marginal communities.
Replying to @CobaltCherry
That is exactly what should be left to courts and experts to prove. All legislation requires interpretation alongside the facts of the case and the intention of the law. This is designed to ensure that harmful practices are discouraged.

🇮🇪/🇬🇧 #NORTHERNIRELAND: Police have linked a major explosives cache discovered in Belfast’s loyalist held Shankill Road area to a far-right militant network.
During searches on October 30th and 31st, officers seized 17 improvised explosive devices (IEDs), two detonators, and five Tasers.
Wesley Thomas Fletcher, 35, has been charged with explosives and prohibited weapons offences and remanded in custody.
The discovery is believed to be the largest far-right weapons seizure in Northern Ireland’s history. It comes amid escalating racist violence and growing links between loyalist paramilitary circles and far-right movements in Britain.

Yesterday’s jamming map is particularly interesting. Virtually the entire eastern flank of NATO is affected by strong, geographically concentrated jamming along the eastern border.
honestly don’t think the BBC needs to have sunk so much of its dwindling budget into one of the best covered electoral systems in the world and would benefit humanity much more reinvesting in reporting from many places it used to more

Come on. It is clearly not a good thing to have an intelligence agency operate in an autonomous way where it can lie to courts and face no punishment because “a contempt case will be too complex.”

Some truth in @lewis_goodall view that tv news has been slow to innovate - we can all reflect
But @krishgm surely right … podcasts ponder but reporters report
And in a world where more and more vested interests don’t WANT us to report, expeditionary journalism must be defended
One of the best discussions of modern media I’ve heard - well done @krishgm and @lewis_goodall . Wireless rather under mentioned but whatever ..
