In this house we believe:
———————————
Streets are for people
Good trains make good cities
Frequency is freedom
Always build more housing
Every trip can be a bike trip
Transit should go everywhere
Trees are everything
Sometimes I see a pedestrian jaywalk across a busy road and think, "that was a brave crossing in the path of Shai-Hulud."

Our new Next Generation Fare Gates are now open at 16th Street Mission Station in San Francisco!
This comes after the new gates were installed at 24th Street Mission, Antioch, Civic Center, Fruitvale, Oakland International Airport, Richmond, and West Oakland stations.
🧵⬇️
This is a positive development. When we were coming in from the airport a few weeks ago and got off here to get the 49, we saw no less than 3 people jump the gates in the ~30 seconds it took me to get my phone Clipper card to work correctly.

🔵🟡🐻ATTENTION CAL FANS!!🐻🟡🔵
Please see below for directions to the University of Pittsburg!
If you’re going from Berkeley, you’re gonna want to take the @SFBART southbound Red/Orange line to MacArthur, transfer there, then take the Northbound Yellow line all the way to Pittsburg. Fare should be about $5-6. Plan accordingly!
We don’t know much about Pittsburg just yet, but we’ll be looking into them shortly… as soon as we find them anyway… who knew there was such a storied ACC rival so close to home! Cant wait to play them!

Yep—Irish housing politics are funny to me because the country has a pop of a midsized US metro, fewer than pre-famine, and debates have already reached the "we've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas" stage
This building in Utah is 18 stories taller than anything in Ireland

Our daily ridership yesterday crossed 200,000 for the first time since the pandemic started!
That is 204,265 paid daily exists.
With remote work trends shifting, its encouraging to see numbers go up. And BART isn’t just for work, we have had more people taking us for fun.
Hey @transitapp just so you know, you’re still displaying the old schedules for Caltrain :)
