A former priest who established a "cult" within the Church of England has been found guilty of raping a woman in his congregation.
Chris Brain was also convicted of four counts of indecent assault against three other women who were part of the Nine O'Clock Service in Sheffield in the 1980s and 1990s.
The 69-year-old was found guilty of the offences after a retrial at Inner London Crown Court, having already been found guilty of 17 indecent assaults against nine women at a trial last year.

In Cerebra 2025 Systems Generated Trauma Report, they refer to traumas created by social work assessment
systems; school attendance systems; by systems that generate accusations of parents 'fabricating or inducing their child's illness; systems that don't allow incorrect and very damaging data records to be corrected - as well as the two systems discussed above.
There are many other dysfunctional systems of this kind - systems concerning the process by which disabled children's support needs fall away when they become 18; systems concerning the assessment of disabled children's needs for NHS Continuing Healthcare; systems that frustrate families' efforts to hold public bodies to account;
systems that allow NHS bodies to operate openly discriminatory practices in relation to the fundamental support needs of disabled young persons (such as their need for continence services)
It also highlights concerns of retaliation where social services have been found at fault in complaints made and then have targeted the family in response

Probably the hard part about the IICSA rejection for many - I know it is for me - is the reliving of their childhood abuse because of the inaction of government and religious institutions to truly redress what took place.

The DWP have responded to my FoI request. Their figures indicate that 87% of clamants currently receiving PIP daily living component at the standard rate, and 13% of claimants receiving the enhanced rate, are likely to lose their entitlement if the "score 4" changes go ahead.
