I *cannot* believe this was real. These colors were real. I've never seen such a deep blue Aurora before. I've seen blue Aurora, but my goodness this was something else. What a beautiful night. Oh, and yes, the snow is purple from the Aurora light reflection, I kid you not. Central Colorado last night/early this morning. #cowx #aurora

REFS verification for cities like Miami, Florida and Chicago, Illinois remains quite concerning. HREF members and NWS forecasts are beating it handedly.

A swing and a miss for Guam from category 4 Typhoon Champi. Some good news for the island.

Well, it was fun while it lasted! We had a hard 28F freeze for 6 hours last night so that means the garden is toast. The pumpkin and watermelon plant look the worst post freeze this morning as you can see. All good, everything must come to an end. Most our ripe fruits/veggies were pulled already but we still have a bunch of green tomatoes (some of these are as large as large apples) that should hopefully ripen off the vine, a bunch of bell peppers and jalapenos, carrots that will be fine to stay in the ground longer, 7 small watermelons (one large one and lost 1 due to rot), a couple more shoots of broccoli, and 5 small pumpkins. Gosh it's so good to garden again. I can't wait for next year with some needed plans and improvements and hopefully not a historic drought. We will have less tomato plants next year though. My goodness, I have too many tomatoes.

Some really nice, high elevation, snowfall hanging on the peaks this morning in SE WY/CO. A reminder that winter is coming soon! We're off to the races for our snowpack. I feel like we're better now than any point last year. (Not actually, but you get it)

April 4th 2023. 35 chaser agents have learned from the Pilger event and tried to chase this event. - 5 chasers drove into a tornado from the initial morning event. - 20+ were successful - some failed.

I just had to drive off road, out of my lane, at 65 mph into a field to avoid a head-on collision. Missed him by mere inches. Holy frick dude. Shout out to that guy attempting to pass a car going blindly uphill on a one-lane road with traffic. Stay frosty folks.
