We recognise and commend the important progress Rwanda has made in advancing children’s rights and strengthening child protection systems. Our purpose is therefore to complement national priorities and contribute to existing efforts.
For Joining Forces, whether violence occurs at home, in school, in the community, or online, our responsibility remains the same: to prevent harm, strengthen safe reporting and referral mechanisms, support survivors, and ensure that children can participate safely in the digital world.
This is why partnership matters: to build a society where every child thrives free from violence.

By combining expertise, evidence, and resources, this partnership complements national efforts and contributes to stronger, more coordinated, and sustainable solutions for children.
Violence against children can take many forms and continues to evolve, including through emerging risks in digital spaces. This requires us to strengthen prevention and response mechanisms and ensure that our approaches continue to reflect the realities children face today.

I am honoured and proud to speak on behalf of other children in this coalition, which aims to promote children’s rights. Supporting children is essential, as they are the country’s future.
As children, we call for continued collaboration to protect and safeguard children through various initiatives and to create opportunities for children to participate in decisions that affect them by sharing their opinions.
