Welcome to the incompetent Renfrewshire Council.
Within four days, we’ve seen £10m flood barriers not activated despite an amber warning, causing immense damage to small businesses and residents.
Now a bridge opened in May 2025 at a cost of £117m is closed for months following storm damage.
Why wasn’t a £117m bridge in Scotland built to properly take into account the bad weather we know this country can face?
Someone needs to be held accountable. It shouldn’t constantly be taxpayers who pay the price.
I’m calling for immediate financial support for the small businesses, residents and others who suffered damage that could have been prevented.
Something has to change. We cannot keep going on like this.

Murder In Belfast ?
I watched this last night & it left me fookin raging 🤬
Here's my thought ...
The brutal killing of Robert McCarthy by the IRA, and the extensive cover-up that followed involving republicans, Adams and Sinn Féin, once again highlights Sinn Féin’s utter lack of integrity, unsuitability for high office and disregard for the rule of law.
Despite the bar being packed with roughly 70 witnesses, a wall of silence immediately went up. Witness intimidation and the fear of the threat of violence kept many silenced and the deluded institutional loyalty to IRA have robbed the family of Robert and his brave sisters of a justice that is long over-due and those complicit (and there are many) should hang their heads in eternal shame.
How people can still support these thugs and bullies is beyond my comprehension, especially ordinary law-abiding Catholics who continue to vote for them and keep them in power - as they use and abuse the GFA for their own selfish needs and twisted political ideology.
IMHO Sinn Féin are one of the biggest obstacle for a lasting peace and harmony between our two tribes and tarnishes our relationship with our cousins in the South of Ireland.

Remembering those Orangemen murdered, many of them by the criminal terrorist thugs unlawfully amassed as part of the Garvaghy Road mob.
In contrast, the Orangemen have stood peacefully, lawfully and with immense dignity.

Republicans letting fireworks off during the well advertised Prayer Meeting organised by Portadown District!
Just when you thought republicans couldn’t stoop any lower! 😡

I've said it before and I'll say it again:
Who would have thought we would ever see the day that a bomber (who also held a terrified family at gunpoint for a few hours) would hold two governments to ransom.
It beggars belief! 🙄

Look at the clapping seal behind her leader as he describes Orange Order as "sectarian, fascist and racist"
Yes that's right "first minister for all" "no alternative to IRA blowing people up" agrees
She thinks 10,000's Orange Order members are "sectarian, fascist and racist"

What those outside the Orange family don’t seem to grasp, is the importance in our tradition of finishing a parade. For 28 years the hundreds of members of Portadown District will have been hurting that the parade they started in 1998 hasn’t been completed.

Their peace was never compromised. Thirty-five individuals marching silently for no more than fifteen minutes at 08:00 am on a Sunday morning did not threaten anyone's peace.

This is clear evidence that the Garvaghy protest is orchestrated, and directed from outside. If there are any actual residents there, they're being told what to do. That is not organic opposition to an orange parade. It is a republican who is an officer holder in Sinn Féin directing people in opposition to a court ruling.
Why is IRA man Martin Duckser Lynch, who hails from West Belfast, directing the protesters at Garvaghy? What does First Minister Michelle O'Neill think of this? This is a question that the media should be asking. They won't. He comes in here after Brendan Mac Cionnaith says that they're not going to let "those fuckers down."
