Relevant in an Irish context given the vote in the Dáil this week.
‘When a physician intends to harm a human being, whether by surgery, lethal injection, dismemberment, poisoning or starvation, the process being medical does not preclude the action from being violent’
Too many have been dehumanized in the pursuit of medical or scientific "progress": from ESCR to abortion, to forced sterilization, medical torture, and assisted suicide.
We must always prioritize respect for human life.

On Nov 5 the Board will decide whether to grant clemency to #TremaneWood set to be executed on Nov 13. His brother confessed to the murder 20+ years ago, yet Oklahoma still plans to execute him.
