In her interview with AUL's @MassogliaChris, Becky Bailey of Bella Vita Pregnancy Center and Bella Haven Maternity Home in Indiana shared how they helped a recent graduate escape an abusive relationship.
She arrived with her abuser after being beaten and left for dead. Using a simple red-marker signal in the bathroom, staff got her out the back door, collected her things, and moved her into the maternity home.
She’s safe and doing amazingly now.
This is real help for women in crisis.

This week, AUL’s @StevenHAdenAUL joined @LibertyU School of Law Professor Eric Enlow for an energetic and productive debate on whether women who seek abortion should be prosecuted.
Steve made the case that the pro-life movement has already shown it can achieve the national protection of preborn children without resorting to jailing women. By 1967, all 50 states had laws against abortion, and the movement is positioned to do so again.
Students from Liberty University School of Law's @FedSoc brought energy and thoughtful insights to the conversation, with questions that extended well into the evening.
We’re grateful for the strong student engagement at @LibertyU and look forward to welcoming the next generation of pro-life advocates.

ON CAMPUS: @AUL's Carolyn McDonnell spoke to @UVALaw @Adv4LifeatUVA students this week on "Legal Advocacy for Pro-Life Policy," showing how a law degree can be used in the pro-life field to shape public policy.
In her lecture, she covered the current status of abortion law at the federal level, her amicus briefs filed on behalf of Members of Congress, and how her federal policy work actually moves the needle towards protecting life.
Students were engaged and asked strong questions, including how the movement is responding to pro-abortion ballot initiatives and advancing legal protections for mothers and unborn children.

Meet Brooke Paz, Senior Legal Fellow at Americans United for Life!
Brooke is a rising third-year J.D. candidate at the @ASUCollegeOfLaw, where she serves as President of the Republican Law Association. She is returning to @AUL after previously supporting the organization through legal research, policy analysis, and communications on federal and state pro-life advocacy.
Before law school, Brooke worked as a Legal Intern for the Arizona House of Representatives (@AZHouseGOP), a Paralegal at @JudicialWatch, a Government Affairs Coordinator at @SFLAction, and a Staff Assistant in the White House Office of Cabinet Affairs.
She founded the first pro-life student organization at California State University, Fullerton, and worked with @optionsunited, supporting women and families through client communications and marketing.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Relations, with a minor in Political Science, from @csuf, graduating summa cum laude.
Brooke brings proven pro-life advocacy, government experience, and strong research and communications skills to AUL’s work defending human life.
