Hot off the press in Current Oncology Reports! As the Interventional Oncology Section Editor, I am pleased to share our latest review, “Role of Interventional Oncology in the Management of Neuroendocrine Tumors: 2026 Update,” by Daniel DePietro and @michaelsoulen. The management of neuroendocrine tumor liver metastases continues to evolve, with liver-directed therapies playing an important role as systemic treatment options expand. This timely review examines recent advances in embolization, radioembolization, and ablation, as well as treatment sequencing, novel technologies, and the emerging role of biopsy and molecular profiling. An important theme is the increasingly integrated role of interventional oncology within multidisciplinary NET care, not simply as an isolated treatment, but as part of a longitudinal treatment strategy.
