Liver venous deprivation (LVD) is a preoperative IR procedure that embolizes portal inflow and hepatic venous outflow to the liver planned for resection, promoting hypertrophy and functional gain of the future liver remnant. The goal is to improve readiness for major hepatectomy.
Carotid artery stenosis is a leading cause of stroke. Carotid artery stenting is a minimally invasive intervention with similar outcomes to the gold standard, surgical carotid endarterectomy. #SIR #InterventionalRadiology
