Running into a weird ARP Caching issues with DHCP at Flexconnect sites using Cisco 9800. Client enters a full run state with DHCP Required checked. Seeing DHCP responses hit the AP via pcap but the client never gets the IP. Starts using 169.x.x.x Anyone else ever run into this?

Yeah, yeah. I'll let it slide this time.

I do not understand how these guys hit. This kind of stuff is insane.

Sir, you need something besides Dunkin and your life will be so much better.

LOL I mean that too obviously. Did you see the New Heights episode with her on there? It was actually pretty good haha.

Haha, I mean I get it and to a large extent I do agree. HOWEVER, to some degree it matters in a few different industries etc. For me, it's kind of a personal challenge and I'm a bit of a masochist when it comes to this sort of thing. Lee, it's been a long time, hope you are well!

Is it possible that a fan bumped it mid-game and it shifted? Serious question since it was mounted to the railing next to the fans. I'm not one to make excuses for Bohm either but it WAS very bright from the camera angle behind home plate after that specific AB.

Heck yeah it is. I might actually pursue a CCIE-W since I won't have to go back to take the ENCOR exam to do it. There was no way I was diving that deep into everything Cisco just for the CCIE-W.

And having to go super deep into everything else "enterprise" for Wireless folks was equally as annoying haha. It really is two very different technologies and I'm glad they are being treated as such.
Coming out of twitter retirement for this one. It's about damn time! Moving Wireless under the "Enterprise" umbrella was a horrible idea. Thankfully someone over at Cisco Certifications/Learning made the right choice to break Wireless out again.
NEW Cisco Wireless Certifications, including #CCNP Wireless and #CCIE Wireless, are launching in March 2026! 🚀

I don't post regularly or anything but you can at least contact me there.
I have spent very little time here in the last two+ months and my life is much better without it. Too many bots, ads, rage bait posts, and accounts being pushed in my "for you" that don't align with literally anything I care about.✌ twitter, you were fun once upon a time.

Just under 5" in Marmora NJ at 2pm. Snow has pretty much stopped falling at this point. Very light flurries.
You can find me over at the other place if you are so inclined:

Cisco is presenting at #MFD12 in about ten minutes. Interested to see what they have. Hopefully some more information about the new APs.
In just 30 minutes, @Cisco will be presenting at Mobility Field Day 12! @TechFieldDay #MFD12 buff.ly/40OGk8l

So we're runnin it back with Bohm huh?

Right? Guess we're not getting him at that price.
My office window overlooks our @LtlFreeLibrary in the front yard. Probably 3-4 times a month someone stops by and swaps out a book. Not bad for our rural small town. Brings a smile to my face each time.
