ANOTHER DEATH IN PARKLANDS-Suswa Road, a construction worker. This makes a total of about 45 deaths from 2023. Most go undocumented; the police never follow up to prosecute the developers; the matters are swept under the carpet and life moves on. Court orders are just a piece of Paper, illegal constructions continue. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! @SakajaJohnson for how long now?? @WilliamsRuto @HusseinMohamedg @PoliceKE @DCI_Kenya @GulagstormRider @teddyobiero @edwinsifuna these are wananchi ; guess you wont say a word as Senator just like you haven’t in 4 yrs of illegalities. @StandardKenya @citizentvkenya @TheStarKenya @ntvkenya you better cover this story reach out for more insights @AfUncensored @ReutersAfrica @BBCAfrica @NDMU_Kenya @UNHumanRights @Alfayaz11 @IanECox @NelsonHavi @HEBabuOwino @DonaldBKipkorir @metro_alliance_ @LarryMadowo @northernblockke @Kenyajudiciary @047County @TheAsianWeekly @radio44kenya @EastFMKenya @ncakenya do you ever bother with site safety

The @Kenyajudiciary your court orders are just papers now. Look at this. @GulagstormRider @SakajaJohnson @abduhar @ManderaBlogger please no that this development is on grabbed public school land and most likely your county funds have been channeled here as poor residents in Mandera grapple with lack of water, sanitation, schools etc. @KTNNewsKE @StandardKenya @TheStarKenya @MihrThakar @Alfayaz11 @RobertAlai @LarryMadowo @HEBabuOwino @edwinsifuna Linda hawa wananchi @skmusyoka @MarthaKarua @rigathi

THANKS MY BOSS GOVERNOR SAKAJA ! Thank you, my boss, for making my sacking official. However, what you forgot to tell Nairobi residents and Kenyans is that you effectively dismissed me on 28th December 2023, when you took away my constitutionally assigned mandate as an Accounting Officer and handed it to my junior officers as per the attached memo which was unprocedural . You went ahead and reduced my dockets health budget from 1.2B to 100M so that I couldn’t have a budget to work reasons being I refused to be used to do direct procurement favoring people around you and your contractors . Evidence available when you made a WhatsApp conference call for which your chief of staff , osman khalifa were in and you really confronted me . You later deployed me to Environment, sidelining me as my director reported directly to you. I was left idle in office doing nothing .Instead of sitting idle in the office , I chose to go to the streets and lead operations meant to be handled by junior officers like my director because I still wanted to serve Nairobians. I endured frustrations, official WhatsApp groups attack ,public attacks, and a court case that nearly saw me jailed for six months over alleged contempt of court which was well planned to kick me out of office and when i asked why what followed was a transfer to customer service ( Public participation , citizens engagement and customer service). I remained silent even as bloggers called for my resignation. All I wanted was an opportunity to work, deliver for Nairobians, and earn back your trust. My last meeting with you was as my boss whom we should be meeting regularly to discuss important issues about Nairobi was in 28 December 2023, when you stripped me of my responsibilities at your private office in riverside . Since then, my grievances have gone unheard, and I have never had a fair opportunity to discuss them with you as you rarely pick calls or respond to my messages. Despite everything, I never gave up on Nairobi. Today, I am humbled that Nairobi residents are calling upon me to serve them as their governor. I have endured the pain, learned from the challenges, and I am ready to serve. My desire has never been to fight anyone; it has always been to fix the systems and serve the people of Nairobi. Lastly I have information that you are preparing a court case to fix and jail me . I hope Nairobi people know who belongs to jail and who should serve them .

I like how Parklanders are moving, other residents associations need to follow suit, a better Nairobj needs constant civic engagement not just “voting better”
Dear Parklanders, Our ELC case and courts orders have come to effect from Oct 14th 2026. Please read the article below and reshare within your local social networks. Summary:- *Development Permissions in Parklands Area Now Null and Void.* All development approvals applied for or granted for properties in the Parklands area are now null and void, according to a notice issued by the Parklands Residents Association following Nairobi City County Government’s failure to comply with court orders requiring the establishment of a planning forum and the preparation of development plans for the area. In a notice dated October 15, 2026, the association reminded parties named in Petition No. E012 of 2025 of a judgment delivered by the Environment and Land Court in Nairobi on October 14, 2025. The judgment directed the county government to establish and operationalise the County Physical and Land Use Planning Consultative Forum within six months and prepare and gazette the County Physical and Land Use Development Plan and the Local Physical and Land Use Development Plan for Parklands within 12 months. The court, comprising Justices O. A. Angote, A. Omollo and C. G. Mbogo, declared that Nairobi City County Government had failed to establish the consultative forum as required under Section 14 of the Physical and Land Use Planning Act, 2019. It also ruled that the actions and omissions of the county government and relevant county officials concerning developments in Parklands since August 2019 had violated residents’ constitutional rights to human dignity and a clean and healthy environment under Articles 28 and 42 of the Constitution. Under the judgment, the county government was required to establish and operationalise the consultative forum within six months and submit a compliance report to the court within that period. It was also directed to prepare and gazette the two development plans within 12 months, in accordance with the law. According to the association’s notice, the deadline for establishing the consultative forum expired on April 14, 2026, while the deadline for preparing and gazetting the development plans expired on October 14, 2026. The association states that the required forum had not been legally constituted and operationalised and that neither of the two development plans was in place when the deadlines expired. Consequently, the notice states that development approvals applied for or granted for properties in Parklands with effect from October 15, 2026, are null and void. The affected approvals include those relating to changes and extensions of use, increased development density, lease extensions and renewals, subdivision and amalgamation of properties, demolitions, building works, easements, wayleaves, and certificates of compliance and occupation. The court had expressly ordered that failure to comply with its directives on the consultative forum and development plans would render approvals issued after the expiry of the 12-month period null and void. The petition was filed by Kamalkumar Rajinkant Sangahani, Jags Kaur and Teddy Obiero on behalf of the Parklands Residents Association against Nairobi City County Government and several county officials responsible for planning and development. The other parties named in the proceedings include the National Land Commission, the Director-General responsible for Physical and Land Use Planning, professional associations representing planners, surveyors and architects, the Kenya Private Sector Alliance, the Kenya Alliance of Residents Associations, the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, the Land Registrar for Nairobi, the ministry responsible for lands and urban development, and the National Environment Management Authority, among other interested parties news-af.feednews.com/news/de… @Alfayaz11 @RobertAlai @047County @KenyaGovernors @Kenyajudiciary @PoliceKE @teddyobiero @GulagstormRider @TheStarKenya @KLDA_Nbi @metro_alliance_ @uhda_KE

Somali developments built on riverbeds along 1st Parklands what could possibly go wrong? 😂 Part of River have proper canals installed to ensure no flooding. Its the dumping and illegal construction causing the mess. So, what happens now? One law for some another for others?

This is completely unacceptable and someone MUST be brought to book. True, the canals and houses on 1st Parklands were built in the 1970s/80s and we had ZERO flooding for over 40 years. The flooding only started when rogue developers were allowed to do whatever they want! Residents are now paying dearly for this negligence. And if you open up the rivers without a proper engineering plan, you will cause worse flooding and even loss of life. Someone is directly responsible for this mess and must be held accountable.

Lower State House Road has the least traffic. What justification is there in felling 50 years old ornamental trees to dual the road? Yesterday they deceived us that they are planting 15 billion trees. The day before, Kindiki Kithure was threatening a road contractor with Court action for delayed delivery. The point is this: there is no need for some of these road constructions which require wanton destruction of trees. It is an elaborate scheme to plunder public money at the expense of the environment.

A giraffe calf alone in the bush for a week should be dead. First-year mortality for wild giraffes runs 50 to 73 percent, and that is with a mother kicking lions off it. Remove the mother and the calf is a six-foot meal standing in open country. Giraffe mothers do leave their calves. For the first weeks they park them in tall grass and walk off to feed, sometimes for hours at a stretch. A calf's whole survival strategy is to lie flat, stay silent, and wait. So a day alone is normal. A week alone means the mother is probably gone for good. Which makes what these two men are doing the entire difference between a dead calf and a live one. Lions and hyenas read the savanna constantly, and a human standing beside prey changes their math. A predator that would rush an unguarded calf won't test two herders. The men became the mother's kick. The Maasai have lived alongside giraffes for centuries without hunting them, and in southern Kenya that matters more than any fence. Most of Kenya's wildlife lives outside national parks, on community land. Whether an animal like this calf makes it comes down to herders deciding it's worth their time. The stakes run past one calf. Giraffe numbers across Africa fell about 40 percent in three decades. Roughly 117,000 remain in the wild, total. The Masai giraffe, this calf's kind, is down to around 45,000 and still falling. Scientists call it the silent extinction because people assume giraffes are everywhere. Two guys and a week of patience, holding one animal on the right side of those numbers.
🇰🇪 | Dos hombres de la comunidad masái llevan casi una semana protegiendo a una cría de jirafa que habría quedado sola. El animal parece haberse acostumbrado a su compañía y permanece tranquilo junto a ellos.

You know what's worse than a lazy employee? A high performer who has stopped caring. Corporate life has a funny way of turning ambitious people into people who just want to go home.
