This is a balanced statement from the always thoughtful @LonTravelWatch on the need to rethink floating bus stops in London.
I support their calls and I hope TfL and boroughs will take heed.

A major new report by police chiefs has found that a rise in violence against women and girls is linked to "online influences" and harmful content.
In its first national risk assessment - the report said at least 230,000 children and young people in relationships were victims of abuse.
They also found domestic abuse remained the most significant threat and described the scale of violence as a "national emergency".

Today is #WorldFoodDay - but even in the UK millions are struggling every day to feed themselves & their families
Our unions supported @The_TUC motion backing the call for a legal Right to Food, universal free school meals & investing in communities.

Great to hear the Prime Minister reference our #RightToFood campaign at #PMQs today and commit to ending child hunger in response to @JamesAsser MP.
These welcome words must now be backed by urgent Government action. Our communities cannot wait.
I look forward to presenting the #RightToFoodCommission report to the PM next week and working with him to implement its recommendations.
The roadmap is there. Now we need the political will to deliver a Right to Food for all.
Hunger is a political choice. ✊

Delighted that @andyburnham used the golden words The RIGHT to Food at the dispatch box at PMQs. The Right to Food Commission has worked hard to bring experiences of people together to create a
compelling case for change. Now we need actions to follow those golden words.

🙏 support this important memorial tomorrow night, from 6pm to 7.30pm. Life expectancy for people living on our streets is 30 years less than people with homes. Life expectancy for people with drug or alcohol dependency is equally 30 years less than the national average.

Energy is an essential, not a luxury.
At Energy UK's 2026 conference, I joined industry leaders to explore how government can build an energy system that delivers affordable energy for people and businesses alike across the UK.

Long before the issue of reparations reached the UN, campaigners kept it alive through decades of dismissal and ridicule.
Ahead of the UK Reparations Conference, I've written for The Voice about why they must be at the heart of what happens next.

I’m deeply saddened to hear that Pat Karney has died.
Pat gave nearly 50 years of his life to serving Manchester. He saw the city through some of its toughest times and played his part in the growth and transformation that followed.
I knew Pat for many years. He loved Manchester deeply and was a tireless champion for the people he represented.
I’ll miss him greatly. My thoughts are with his family and everyone who knew and loved him.

How can we possibly understand the country we live in if we don't learn about the events and processes that shaped it?

It’s World Mental Health Day and this year the theme is all about sharing lived experiences and being heard. 🌍🗣️
Conversations about who are and how we feel can make a real difference to our happiness and mental health.
They help us feel understood and build intimacy and connection. Building good relationships is a key part of happier living.
So today, start a conversation and make time to really listen.
Without jumping in or waiting to speak, give someone your full attention.
You never know the difference you might make to someone’s day. Every conversation matters. ❤️
