Years of underfunding and neglect have brought us to this point.
As @LeonieC says, Thames Water is unreliable and costing taxpayers millions every year.
Londoners deserve better. Something has to change.

An excellent example of @metpoliceuk working with @BTP @TfL listening to community concerns and intelligence in Brixton. These operations and subsequent arrests are a positive move to make the community safer.
Well done!

650 prisoners released early this week because there’s nowhere left to put them.
The Tories closed 23 prisons in 14 years, leaving the prison system 99.7% full.
Hear @LabourMarina thoughts on the crisis previous governments have left us with 👇
469 antisemitic incidents were recorded in Barnet in the first six months of 2026.
@anne_clarke says the Greens’ ‘Zionism is racism’ motion has real consequences for Jewish Londoners, and questions why Zack Polanski wasn’t there to vote against it.
“We have to call out bad behaviour wherever it exists.”
@Len_Duvall challenges the Greens’ ‘Zionism is racism’ motion, Reform’s attack on Sagal Abdi-Wali and Susan Hall speaking at a rally with Tommy Robinson, while acknowledging where Labour’s has faced up to its failures too.

I want to make our high streets better by promoting healthy choices, like gyms, leisure centres, libraries and GP surgeries.

Everyone deserves to be and feel safe in our great city.
Here's what leader of @CityHallLabour, @Len_Duvall had to say for #NationalHateCrimeAwarenessWeek.

Last week, I brought the Deputy Mayor for Transport, Seb Dance to North Harrow to look at three dangerous crossings.
You currently risk your life trying to safely cross the road at these junctions.
Which crossings near you need to be made safer? Let me know in the comments🚸

Delighted to see that TfL are moving forward with the DLR extension to Thamesmead, improving connectivity for City and East residents in Beckton Riverside. I'll continue to campaign for further eastward extensions along the river.

Great stuff!
There has been a campaign since the mid- late 80- when @stephenctimms was Chair of Planning and later @NewhamLondon Leader for this to happen.
Stratford is one of Europe’s great regeneration success stories. It’s ready for its next chapter - European rail links.
I’m proud to say I’m working with the government to deliver new cross-Channel trains from East London. The benefits would be felt far beyond our city.

🚲 Should dockless e-bike firms face tougher rules?
With complaints about abandoned bikes on the rise, operators were questioned today by the London Assembly's transport committee over licensing rules and how the bikes should be managed.

Today at @LondonAssembly Transport Committee we questioned dockless hire-bike operators and TfL on what a new London wide regulatory framework would look like. I raised problems of badly parked bikes and accessibility issues.
We all know e-bike parking is a problem. But what about the dangerous riders?
More e-Bikes has meant there are more inexperienced cyclists on our roads - and our pavements.
But do these companies really know just how many users are breaking the rules?

Transport for London is consulting on proposals for the West London Orbital, an 18.5km passenger route using existing freight railway lines across west and northwest London.

...so you DO want to end Free School Meals?
The Tories said this two years ago, then backed down when they realised how unpopular it was to leave children hungry at school.
I'm sure @EmmaBest22 hasn't thought this one through...

Every year, the cars on London's streets are getting bigger and bigger, but many of our smaller roads weren't designed for the size of these vehicles.
@EllyBakerAM asked @MayorofLondon when Londoners can expect TfL's full investigation into how best to tackle this problem.

Great to see @sadiqkhan make the important case for rejoining the EU. Brexit has caused enormous damage to our city and country.
It’s time for a positive vision to rejoin.
Andy Burnham is right that ‘hope comes from honesty’.
That’s why Labour must make the case for rejoining the EU ⬇️
