Just learned @theblcklst is off Twitter. Do writers & industry follow them on Instagram or just the email list/site direct anymore?
Password borrower discovers Blacklist script by @mikescollins. Now it’s premiering at SXSW.
Should we set scripts to readable by “non-industry?”
Wildest part is @willropp still doesn’t have an account. 😆
Is screenwriting twitter still a thing?
Does having a second script recommended by the Black List get me invited to a cool new secret room of screenwriting twitter?
“People don’t yearn for a fuel efficiency sticker or a consultant’s stamp of approval. They long to go home. Even when they don’t know where home is, they know what it feels like. Who’s there. And how they got there. In a Chevrolet.”

Yes, AI feels fake because it's a top-down imposed technology. Most ground-breaking tech, like email, was first used by the IT guys and they eventually convinced the CIO to adopt it. xitter.cf/TXMCtrades/status/1983…
My partner works for a fortune 100 company and they're pushing AI internally bigtime to try and reduce costs, but so far no one has gotten it to do more than low level research and pumping out error-filled slide decks. Meanwhile the C suite is constantly demanding their people use AI because they're hearing about how great it is on the news and seeing all this capex spend, so surely it must be useful!
We are nowhere close to the tech being a viable replacement for most jobs.
However that isn't stopping management from shoving it down their people's throats and ginning up a ton of drama and internal strife as worker bees scramble to explain why this tech isn't a golden goose.
This is happening all over the country right now.
Tried multiple prompts and reformatting to get Copilot to do something as simple as convert a list of country GDPs into USD for data comparison. Each time it was littered with errors.
But instead of fixing this productive use of AI, they’re making slop to put artists out of work.
As a kid, I’d watch Superman thinking how great it would be to be like Superman. Watching @JamesGunn’s Superman now as a dad of sons, I thought how great it would actually be to be like Pa Kent.
Excited by the buzz around this one. No way AI reads about an event like this and finds this wild story behind it. Thank you, @theblcklst!
And thanks to my writers group (not on Twitter) and @KateMishkin for the great notes.

Having worn the tape out on family movie nights, my dad would contend this is the signature work of Craig Mazin (Chernobyl, Last of Us)
Popular opinion is there’s a palpable preference for the papacy of Pietro Parolin, a palatable papabile who might populate the apostolic palace promptly.
