It follows Judy Brooks, who discovers that the final novel of her late best-selling author husband isn’t dedicated to her like all the others. Instead, it’s dedicated to a man named Morris Burke. Judy pushes her grieving, as well as her son Lucas, to the side as she becomes consumed by trying to find out who Morris Burke is.

Brian is the breakout comedy of SXSW. The film is incredibly funny while still feeling authentic and grounded. Ben Wang is a star on the rise, delivering a layered performance that explores mental health while also being genuinely hilarious. It feels like a great coming-of-age film from the 80s, but with a modern day twist. Brian absolutely deserves distribution because I can see an audience for this as it is relatable to a very wide audience. Highly recommended. #Brian #SXSW
