Excited to share the work I did as a postdoc at @CaltechCCE, published today in @J_A_C_S! Glad I had the opportunity I had to lead this project and put this story together. Also grateful for wonderful mentors who taught me so much! @dad2420 @lesterha

Strongest possible advice to early grad students: you need outside hobbies or projects that are meaningful to you. It is dangerous for your only source of value, identity, and friendship to be academia. You absolutely have to find something else to invest in, it’s just not safe

Hardest moment of first pharma job: the day you realize you know nothing about drug discovery. No? Dunning & Kruger would like a word.
It’s like getting another PhD from scratch. Eventually though, it gets better. Then you only have to deal with the soul-crushing failure.

Our hearts are hurting. Hug your loved ones, call that friend you haven’t talked to for too long, be there for each other, travel home safely.
Love to see this event continue year after year! Helping to plan this conference was a highlight of my time as a graduate student.
Great job by all presenting #chemistry research today @ECI_ACS Undergraduate Research Conference @UofIllinois, including @ChemistryUIUC undergrads Aidan Lindsay, Zhuoran Zhong, Matthew Dake, Hunter Carrell, Isaiah Lopez, Megan Murphy (pictured), Qasim Sikander, and Zoe Wachtel!👏

For Mastocytosis & Mast Cell Diseases Awareness Day, we were honored to have Grace join our company meeting to share how Systemic #Mastocytosis impacted her life. We are so thankful and humbled by the strength of patients like Grace who are willing to share their stories with us.
Special shout-out to @RyanHibbs10 and colleagues. Insights from their structural work inspired many of our experiments and helped guide the story we were able to tell!

Advice. Relax a bit. So what if you got a low score from NIH? What if the Gordon Conference did not invite you to speak? Life is not NIH, NSF, awards and self-made praises on Twitter. Family is No 1.

This week I had my last day as a postdoc at Caltech, and I’m excited to share that soon I’ll be starting a new role as a scientist at @CogentBio! 🎉 I’m thrilled to be joining a collaborative team of talented people working on important problems.
My postdoc would not have been the same without the Reisman group, who were so welcoming and become incredible friends. I also found great friends in @thestoltzgroup and @TheNelsonLab. @CaltechCCE is truly full of amazing people and I’ll always cherish these relationships.
Overall, my postdoc was really a great experience, and I feel like it opened so many doors for me. @Caltech was a wonderful place to do science and I’m amazed by how much I was able to learn in a short amount of time. New adventures are ahead, but I know I’ll be back to visit. 🧡
