Excited to share new work from our customers @TheNelsonLab & @DMEremin : REyes enables fully autonomous microED—real-time mapping, crystal ID, and ab initio solutions with no human input using DE’s Apollo camera. Read more: chemrxiv.org/engage/chemrxiv…
Fun collaboration with @yitang_ucla @QuaveEthnobot and Julia Kubanek. Nice work David and team!!!-hmn High-throughput identification of crystalline natural products from crude extracts enabled by microarray technology and microED | ChemRxiv doi.org/10.26434/chemrxiv-20…
Organic chemists can feel free to call it HPLC-ED, but we really wanted a cool and novel &@$?ED method name 😂-hmn
Great piece by Beth @beth_halford as well. It’s refreshing to see a story driven by quotes from trainees …. We all know they did all the work! Taming the vinyl carbocation cen.acs.org/synthesis/Chemis… via @cenmag
What a fun collaboration from so many angles. Congrats to Chloe, Sepand, Ben, Jonathan, Brittany, Stasik, and Jacob! -hmn
Also this week, @sep_funnel @chemchlo and collaborators in @TheNelsonLab @Sigman_Lab and @houk1000 get asymmetric induction at vinyl cations with List-type imidodiphosphorimidate chiral counterions science.org/doi/10.1126/scie…
Nice work Ambarneil, Jose, and team. It’s nice to see this. This will be a great starting point for people in my community that want to learn more about the field. Yes, those tables are gonna need a big update soon. -hmn
cutt.ly/bXY556u an @ACSChemRev led by Ambarneil Saha. ED is moving so fast, those tables will need updating soon! 👀 @xzoulab @MGJones13 @XUEY85 @TheNelsonLab @maxclabbers @ScienceMick @antonietrebor @smpowell16 @biochem_fan @BrentNannenga @NanedP & many more for🧊science
We are hoping to hire a few postdocs due to some new and exciting funding in the lab. We are looking for 1) structural biologists with demonstrated expertise in CryoEM or X-ray crystallography and 2) synthetic chemists with expertise in library synthesis or HT chemistry.
Super fun to help out our friends up north with some MicroED and exciting to get our group’s first synthetic polymer structure. Congrats to the Chris’s, Yi and team!-hmn rdcu.be/cBYpI
It was a pleasure to work with you. Glad that we (all Chris of course) could contribute. Cool stuff!-hmn
Check out our recent Just Accepted publication in @angew_chem led by @ZhengMengChem in collaboration with @TheNelsonLab where we use #microED to resolve a structure of a layered conductive MOF materials Cu3(HHB)2: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…
Nadia Leonard from UCI kicked us off with an awesome talk. Steven Townsend @Townsend_Lab from Vanderbilt is on now. Come by and check out some awesome chemistry or log on!-hm
Really looking forward to watching this amazing session tomorrow #RMRM2021 hosted by @IR_SP8 and @TheNelsonLab in partnership with @NOBCChE
Congrats to @HighResJess and her new venture @MicroEDLab, and to @Amgen for a behind the scene look at microED on real samples.🙌

Wow. Thanks for the retweets and attention! We have been overrun with interest and have several excellent candidates! We are still wading through applications, so if you are waiting for a reply, give us time. This opportunity will likely close within a day or two.-hmn
If anyone feels overqualified for a PD position, reach out anyway. We are also open to making a staff scientist hire. Salaries are also negotiable based on experience and training.-hmn
Congrats @leejoon_kim, Masao, and team!-hmn
Work from the labs of Hosea Nelson and Yi Tang shows how combining microcrystal electron diffraction and genome mining for biosynthetic gene clusters enables the rapid structural elucidation of natural products. Free to read: rdcu.be/cpVN1 nature.com/articles/s41589-0…
If anyone out there is excited by the prospects outlined in this review, consider joining our lab as a postdoc. We have funding for several individuals with expertise in electron microscopy and/or electron diffraction. We don't write reviews, but we do solve cool structures!-hmn
