Just heard an interview with James Evans on why science innovation is slowing down despite a great increase of papers and scientists (news.uchicago.edu/scientific…). I find his findings very insightful and I urge funding agencies and institutes to pay attention to his work. (1/n)

if you haven't seen it yet, check out our video of the pyridine + glutaryl chloride cyclization on a mole scale! purification is accomplished by crystallization directly from the crude reaction mixture. @reisman
