The power of praise in a classroom cannot be underestimated. It doesn’t take much. Even at the end of a lesson simply saying ‘I thought you all did a great job today’ makes such a difference to the children.

Ta da! Happy Saturday @GrumpyCompSci and @lfc7646 Pretty proud of this merge sort revision and practice guide. The description is a bit clumsy but thought the graphic was well worth the effort... drive.google.com/file/d/1_gd…

Don't worry if you didn't get the GCSE results you hoped for. You're on Twitter, which means you're old and it happened ages ago.

I decided to take some biscuits into school tomorrow, but thought I'd better check with @educationgovuk that I wasn't contravening regulations.
I checked - has anyone else had a chance to read this yet? Might be worth bringing to the attention of your SLT asap.

Been told today that I have one year left in my KS5 Lead Practitioner role before the job is deemed no longer required.
So if anyone has a need for someone with 16 years classroom experience, 6 as Head of Department and a further 6 as Key Stage lead, let me know.

Hi all,
Can we please stop giving positive behaviour points to naughty children who behave for 5 minutes? They can be used in The Academy shop and you’re bankrupting us. Boy Jayden has enough points now to get a BMW M3 and Chantelle has enough for a villa in Tuscany.
Thanks x

I'm 25 years 'exploding pen free'.
Some student's I've taught in my career seem to struggle to go through a day 'exploding pen free'!
