What? Nothing happened on 9/1 that should impact taxes.
Spamcoin launched 8/8. At that moment, it had zero value, and exchanges listed Bitcoin. What exchanges did later (rugging everyone of their bitcoins and substituting spamcoin) is another matter.

No amount of txs fees can make mining economically profitable for the average hasher. Not even if all blocks came with an average of 100 BTC in tx fees.
The reason for that is the difficulty adjustment.

We have something like 75% of the Bitcoin space very friendly to Tether, so that's not helping either. US won't need a CBDC now that it has USDT. There's also a chance that BTC ends up becoming surveilled centralized gov-controlled money. It's basically already there, if you consider the mining centralization problem
