The Avadhut is not concerned with the things of this world, because the natural state of Self-realization renders all else insignificant.

First, you’re conflating monetary neutrality with “Bitcoin must be neutral toward every conceivable use of its blockspace.”
Monetary neutrality means the protocol doesn’t pick monetary winners and losers. It doesn’t care whether you’re rich or poor, American or Chinese, left or right, or whether you send 1 BTC to Alice or Bob, the monetary rules apply equally.
BIP-110 didn’t change that. It treated monetary transactions the same…it simply restricted a non-monetary use of blockspace. So monetary neutrality remained untouched.
Calling that “censorship” is absurd. BIP-110 was a voluntary private protocol rule that participants could choose to adopt, and the whole point was to reach consensus on it. If the participants agree on what their own system will accept, that’s not censorship, it’s deciding the rules of your own system.
For those who still believe Paul/AlphaPool has been a good actor for XBT, forget the rhetoric and look at the results.
We’re roughly two weeks past his commitment to keep the pool below 30%.
It’s ~37%.
Since BLAKE2b launched, roughly 40,000 blocks have been produced. How many did the average pleb get?
For most: zero or a handful.
That’s what everyone keeps dancing around: the average pleb—and the chain itself—have taken a beating from Alpha’s participation.
What did ordinary miners gain?
More opportunity to find blocks? No.
More decentralization? No.
A healthier distribution of hashrate? No.
The promised <30%? No.
Instead, enormous industrial hashrate arrived, much of it apparently from China-based profit miners running large amounts of BLAKE2-capable hardware, and captured a huge share of the rewards.
The average XBT pleb running a few TH/s certainly wasn’t the beneficiary.
And then came the circus.
Alpha used coinbase tags on multiple blocks to clown Luke—including the “Luke the King” messaging—while Paul simultaneously made allegations about Luke supposedly having a stash of BLAKE2 mining equipment.
The irony is hard to miss: while pointing fingers at Luke’s alleged equipment, the concentration everyone could actually see was Alpha’s.
I’ll give Paul credit where it’s due: his involvement with DATUM appears to have contributed something technically useful.
But it wasn’t charity. Alpha benefits economically from infrastructure that improves its own mining operation.
We’ve also watched multiple Alpha-associated pool identities appear while the combined footprint grows.
And now ordinary miners who somehow beat that industrial hashrate and find a block may face a 45-day wait before they can sell it if they need liquidity.
So after ~40,000 blocks:
Who has actually benefited from Alpha’s participation?
The average pleb? Show me.
Decentralization? Show me.
The chain? Show me.
Because the clearest economic beneficiaries I see are Alpha and the industrial profit miners directing massive hashrate through its infrastructure, while the average pleb and the broader XBT ecosystem absorbed much of the downside.

@ninfixed6 is not someone I trust in the trenches with me. He doubts the people with demonstrable proof of work, who have been here fighting before BIP-110 was even a thing, while giving the benefit of the doubt to miners who just arrived on the scene to profit from the network.

Another day and not a single DATUM division on your part of the donut. 🍩

This whole chicken business wouldn't surprise me if it was some primitive stone-age tribe living in a jungle. But this is supposed to be a sophisticated, advanced religion? They're basically fooling god and transacting sins.

For me jumping spam coin was obvious. Few hours after BIP-110 activation I knew we have to do the Hardfork and move on with the chain. It was like “in case of emergency break the glass” protocol. It was always in our playbook. It was chess move that was precalculated. We have always said that the network does not belong to miners so if they rebel - we just change PoW. It’s of course drastic measure, but what was left?
Most of people has not jumped to XBT, because they don’t understand on a deeper level how Bitcoin works or are afraid / they got brainwashed by “it’s BCH / BSV fork like” propaganda.
Most of them have not put enough PoW. They are following the crowd, looking for social acceptance and you do not get any in XBT. You get the opposite, we are being shit on 24/7. You have to like being shit on to some extent. People don’t like being shit on and getting weird looks at them.
I love to being shit on by the masses, I wear it as a badge of honor, proof of quality. To me these are valuable signals. I sometimes make decisions purely on this signal. Most people in fiat world are dumb, so naturally I’m looking for opposite for what they are craving. It’s inner compass.
On top of that - You have to spend time with Bitcoin to understand it, not just to peek on prize chart few times a day and retweet Michael Saylor posts. Even after I have spent thousand of hours researching Bitcoin I still had to process carefully everything that happened, it needed time, it required fair share of staring at the ceiling in the bed and only recently I finnaly had couple of “aha” moments in example regarding how some aspects of UASF and URSF signaling works so I can comfortably talk about it. Not just “feel” how it should work.
How many people can afford to do it? How many people can spend few hours a day to listen and understand Bitcoin? Not many.
Of course there is another part - simpfluencers. Some of them got paid or simply were on Saylor’s yacht or infamous islands, now unable to criticize their hosts. They either can’t or don’t want like @knutsvanholm (such a shame) to jump fiat ship for a way smaller boat with lower amounts of liquidity and dopamine I guess. Their life depend on views, clicks and affiliate links. We are just extremely bad audience for selling Ledgers, Bitcoin backed loans and treasury companies stocks. It’s hard to squeeze water from the stone they say. We are immune to bullshit most influencers make many off from. And some of the businesses like BTC Session relies on it.
That’s why it’s laughabale to me when people are saying that @mattkratter is farming engagement. He has sunk his channel to the burning fuckin ground and I have seen him doning it live. I knew it is coming when I saw his comment section screeching in 2025 “come back to the good ole content, stop yapping about knots”. He was answering such comments “sorry, this is important, I have to talk about it. We will return to the classic episodes once it’s resolved”. Fuckin legend!
He is making thankless job. He can afford it because he has stacked enough wealth over years, has grown children. He thinks about his legacy and not about chasing clout and quick buck. On the other side of this spectrum are young “appeal / resonate to millenials” influencers like Forresthodl or Jora, (Ptooey!) Seyer. They are on a payroll and are like most millenials - “broke”.
At the end this is very nuianced topic and I believe a lot of people will come over / wake up once they start introducing more harmful “features” like demurrage and tail emission to BTC.
We have to educate others and preferably “make” and raise Bitcoiners ourselves. That’s the best way to make nodes number go up. I have one 1,5 years old, planning next. How about you?

Portal update
Now tracking both PoWs: SHA-256 and BLAKE2b.
Still work in progress on some views.

The Bitcoin Portal is back online!
It now tracks both chains: Core and BIP-110. Same metrics, same methodology. Toggle is live (top right).
Still work in progress: some views are Core-only for now. More shipping this week.

If we achieve 51% DATUM coverage, XBT will be truly unstoppable money. Huge demand will follow, lots of confused people over the spamchain will suddenly get it. No spam, no csam risk, no miner centralization. Just pure monetary network.

Bitcoin Sha-256 might be at 81k
But,
Bitcoin Blake2b doesn't bow to corporate pressure.
Blake2b is the real Bitcoin.
