A fantastic and very clear win! A privilege to work alongside our new councillor, Sion Roberts @CWaCTory @CNNConservative on the campaign and now as my neighbouring ward colleague!

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend and colleague, Cllr Myles Hogg, CWaC Member for the Willaston & Thornton Ward. Cllrs @AdrianWaddelove and @simonjveardley pay tribute to nearly 40 years of local public service in the article here: cheshirewestconservatives.or…

Really pleased to talk with @kaleighnews about the huge opportunity of the mayoralty and my focus on making the good life easier for all: better jobs, homes, infrastructure, and thriving towns and villages.

The weather was wet, but it didn’t put off our team of campaigners supporting our candidate for the Strawberry Ward by-election, Nic Hebson, this morning. Thanks to the residents who took time to chat with us about local issues in the area.

Electing a Mayor for #Cheshire & #Warrington will be a monumental change in our local governance. It *could* have a transformational impact, but with the wrong candidate or the wrong party in charge, it could be a bureaucratic, expensive flop. Ben is the right person for the job.

We do not take 'walking out' of a 'Full Council' meeting lightly. Our reasons are clear and set out in the statement below. @cwaclabour can't expect 'consensus' only on their terms. This meeting was a mess of their own making.

Local Conservatives call for @cwaclabour Cabinet Member to resign as they accuse ruling administration of being "asleep at the wheel" over "negligence" on major housing contract.

Our team campaigns all year round, not just at election time! Great to be out in Christleton #Cheshire this morning meeting residents and chatting to them about issues of concern. @LGACons @CCACllrs #ToryCanvass

🆕We are very concerned about the continued rise in #flytipping across #Cheshire West & #Chester, revealed again in the latest statistics from the council. Rather than @cwaclabour’s complacent view, we need a plan of action to tackle this worrying trend.

Great effort from our teams in Little Neston today. We covered a lot of ground, engaging with residents on hundreds of doorsteps about local issues and the prospect of an elected Mayor for #Cheshire. Big thanks to all the team who joined us from across the borough and beyond.

Great to have a strong team out supporting @CllrRDaniels as she delivers her latest update newsletter for residents in the Handbridge Park ward #Chester - and a sunny ☀️ day for it!

No question that @cwaclabour have learnt nothing from recent elections. Once again they silence discussion on an important issue that we know really matters to residents in #Cheshire West and #Chester - changes to planning policy that will have a massive impact locally. #Contempt

In two weeks time I will be running the London Marathon in support of @Literacy_Trust 🏃♂️😬
An amazing charity who work tirelessly to give people the literacy skills needed to thrive. I’ve seen first hand the impact their work has.
Any support would be appreciated via @JustGiving and every penny goes to the front line. Thank you. 🙏 justgiving.com/page/ben-flet…

ACTION! We've been busy holding @cwaclabour to account in recent months - doing our best to be an effective opposition, speaking up on behalf of local residents. In the last few days, we shared examples of our work. Here's a summary of each of them, to date, there's more to come!

This was my view on #fracking in 2022 (and before then). To coin a phrase: nothing has changed!
I guarantee any local area asked to support #fracking would say NO without equivocation. It’s a dead policy unless it’s imposed by Government and then the Tory party will pay a heavy electoral price. I will ALWAYS resist it in #Cheshire West and #Chester @ShitChester

Big #planning reform, imposed by the Labour government, is happening and will have massive implications for us all. It’s interesting what you find in the press archives. See this from 2020 here in #Cheshire West and #Chester from @cwaclabour. A short🧵
