Reporting a fund is easier than digging deep into the innards of the venture craft and sharing valuable insights. Last year's Omega Files Ep 1 paves the way to share more this time. It's time for Episode 2 of the #OmegaFiles bit.ly/BVTheOmegaFilesEp2 Benchmarking Fund IRRs, Pattern Matching (and extracting signals from noise), Impact generation from venture capital and showcasing more peer funds from the Fund I era (2011-15) are the highlights. And you have to mine the nuggets tucked away. Thanks to our peer funds who graciously agreed to share their performances this year @skg69 and team @YourNestVC @SashaMirchi and team @KaeCapital Kumar Shah and Micromax Corp VC A big thanks to @AdithyaS017 and his intern army of 2. Congratulations to the @confidohealth team on their Series A! Today over 1,500 clinics rely on Confido to keep the front desk running, so their staff can spend more of the day with patients. We’ve loved watching the team build this, one workflow at a time. @mchetanreddy500 @vichar_shroff we’re so glad to be on this journey with you. Excited to be a part of the journey with @z47_vc, Justin Saks and Together. @sanjaynath @BKartRed @AshishFafadia @sajithpai @arpiit @udayanpandey @sameeraculous

One year at @BlumeVentures, and it has been an amazing ride! :) 750+ candidate calls (and a lot of new relationships) ~40 hires across 23 portfolio companies 50% of the hires were L1s / senior leaders I got a front-row seat to some legendary founders’ journeys and helped solve some wild talent challenges along the way. I couldn’t have asked for a better first year! The best part is the five leaders I get to work with. Professionals would pay to hear them speak, and I get to call them my mentors. I’m grateful every morning that these kind-hearted people are my bosses :') @sajithpai @BKartRed @AshishFafadia @sanjaynath @arpiit - thank you, gentlemen! To many more :)

Most buyers settle a deal the same way, over a call, a WhatsApp message, maybe a handshake. @gbaheti watched that happen for crore-worth orders at Food Bazaar, with nothing written down, no record of who else had even quoted a price. That question stayed with him long enough to become @Procol_. We backed Gaurav and Sumit at seed stage, back when Procol was still a commodity platform finding its footing. Sf needs #sftechweek because people agree agentic doesn’t translate anywhere else and we learn that founders don’t even know what they have built
To everyone complaining why does SF need a Tech Week when every week is a tech week, the reason is the same as why we have a Mother’s Day even though everyday is a mothers’ day

Thank you @JeffDean for letting me buy coffee for a few legends. My best purchase ever. 🫶☕️ Great running into @CoughranBill today, serendipitously after almost 4 yrs. Bill’s advice to own the entire workflow loop, not just the AI, became a core premise behind @atomicworkhq.💜

In 2018, while building an app for Food Bazaar, @gbaheti noticed that buyers were placing orders worth crores on WhatsApp. There seemed to be no bid sheet, no records, and so on. That's what got him started on @Procol_. His research took him to mandis, where traders traditionally bid with their hands hidden under handkerchiefs (so nobody else could see the price). He built Procol to work exactly the same way, but online. When business was at its peak, Gaurav and his co-founder Sumit shut the company down ,and rebuilt Procol as an enterprise software, even though it meant cutting the team in half. Today, Procol works with companies in more than 10 countries, and its AI agents negotiate with suppliers on their behalf. When you are with the right person, you become a better person. The anxiety goes down, not up. The fears feel manageable You want to be better. Do more with the rest of your life. Thriving and feeling stable/content is a sign. Pressure and fomo is too. Listen to your gut
Was discussing this thread with someone recently and he sent me this xkcd, which encapsulates a core fear I have felt throughout my entire dating history

Exactly. Consumer is about identifying the actual job to be done. Some times it is entertainment or removing an annoying experience. Some times it is saving money. Almost always, it is how it makes them feel.

The biggest thing everyone gets wrong about Dating is that people thing it is (just) about find a person for you asap. First, dating is about feeling seen. Feeling desired and worthy of love. This is why meeting the right person lights up your whole world. This is why a lonely infinite swipe is the worst dating manifestation.

Every time I am in SF I am amazed that every ad spot is taken by an AI startup and this time agents. As if there are no real consumers in Bay Area to advertise for anything else they may consume. Which is so weird given how much $$$ is here
