We will not mourn for royals who oversaw the protection of known child molesters within the family. We will not mourn for royals whose entire wealth and importance is predicated on centuries of slavery in the Caribbean and in Africa. We will not mourn for royals who oversaw the creation of the genocidal Israeli state, who invaded Egypt alongside them. We will not mourn for royals who oversaw the brutal massacres and famines upon the Indian people, who profited off of it. We will not mourn for royals who oversaw the active destruction of the Welsh language, and Welsh culture. We will not mourn for royals whose crimes are too many for a single sheet of paper. Whose crimes are too hidden to be known, by intention. The Queen is dead. We will not mourn.
