Deep in Tien Shan Mountains I came across this lovely pika, extremely rare species. And my photo made it into the iNaturalist observation of the day🎉We walked several dozen kilometers, my skin still burning from sun, but it was worth it. My work and life balance looks like this😸
In #Kazakhstan, iNat user zerobias saw this Turkestan Red #Pika (Ochotona rutila) - it's our Observation of the Day!

Been having a great time looking at the new wave of JS/TS React state managers! This time I'm going event driven with Effector. youtu.be/_m2XfYzBV2c This was a fun one because I recorded it live on the livestream. So cool to have the viewers be part of the process!

Is this really what modern web app development looks like to people these days? We truly are living through the dark ages. The boiler plating, the low-level distractions, the raw pool handling + sql, the configuration situps. Lordy.

Please don't create another CLI.
I'm begging you. I know it will be fancy & you will use *that* node package that has colors to build it & your tweet will get 121 likes but please don't build it.
We're still writing terminal commands like it's 1925. Let's move on.
Please.

If the npm registry disappeared. How quickly could it be rebuilt? (Without the cooperation of npm inc). Is anyone still mirroring the registry? The migration away from couchdb and the registry software being closed source would make it difficult.

Me: Yes.
Mom: What is it?
Me: It finds and fixes problems in JavaScript.
Mom: Huh. Do people use it?
Me: Basically everyone writing JS.
Mom: How much did you make on it?
Me: Nothing.
Mom: I don’t understand your industry.
Me: Me either.

A functional red-black tree in JavaScript with Flow.
Not nearly as elegant as the OCaml or ReasonML implementation, but still interesting to implement.
