The Pan African AI & Innovation Summit (September 22–23) will convene key stakeholders across the AI landscape to discuss “Scaling Africa's Ethical AI & Innovation Ecosystem: Building Youth Capacity, Policy, Partnerships, and Skills.”
@AKADEMIYA2063’s AICAA Letter makes the case for converging Africa’s strategic frameworks around a Continental Climate–AI Nexus, mainstreaming AI into climate strategies while embedding climate considerations into AI policy.
The Letter calls on African leaders to engage boldly in global negotiations, coordinate regionally to pool resources and harmonize policies, and implement nationally with a focus on inclusion and innovation. With coordinated action across these levels, Africa can turn climate and technological vulnerabilities into opportunities for resilience, innovation, and transformation.

How can Africa’s next generation of leaders deliver the cross-sector leadership needed to transform food systems in the CAADP Kampala Decade?
Come ready to engage on the 2nd day of the #AFSF2026 and let's collaborate towards Africa's food systems transformation.
In drought-stricken Isingiro, many young farmers leave in search of better opportunities. Kato Jude chose a different path.
Through training in climate-smart agriculture by YOFCHAN in partnership with Isingiro District Local Government, Jude transformed his farm with irrigation, fertilizer production, and sustainable farming practices. Today, his 20-acre banana plantation, coffee, passion fruits and cassava are thriving despite persistent drought.
More than a successful farmer, Jude is now a Youth Climate Champion, mentoring fellow young farmers and proving that resilience can be cultivated at home.

Why this matters: For many young people, agriculture is the most immediate pathway to work, but only if the right systems are in place to support them.
