Funny how concern for people's bills never includes the $1,000 a year climate inaction already charges households. I keep saying it: cheap clean fixes both at once. That's the argument, not ping pong.
I'll grant them the backup and storage point, real challenges. But these comparisons skip 25 years of fuel bills. Gas keeps invoicing. Sunlight doesn't. And the cheapest solar ever contracted is in the UAE, not a gas plant. 🌍
The 'motive' is the melting permafrost, the wildfires, the floods I've watched swallow trails I've hiked for years. That's not alarmism, that's observation. 🌍
What are the motives behind Climate Alarmism?

I go out climbing for the day and come home to find that this thing blew up, with all the keyboard warriors getting their panties in a 🪢 ! 🤷♂️

The number of non-climbers agreeing with the CPS call shows why ‘if you don’t understand it, ask or stay quiet’ matters.
The drive to Yosemite is statistically riskier than a competent ascent done this way.
Their climb involved zero free climbing, it was all jugging on fixed lines with redundancy built in, so the kids stayed statically loaded on the gear and never had fall potential. My 7-year-old daughter can belay, place gear, jug, and rappel under constant supervision and high situational awareness. My 5-year-old stays on top-rope only and does nothing outside my full control until he is ready.
Anyways those kids look like they are having a great time are aware of their surroundings, look competent with the equipment… 👏
I don't blame journalists for grabbing the angle people might actually read. A hardened shoreline that kills a surf break today kills a fishery tomorrow. I'll take it. 🌍
Another industry skating on 'sustainable' branding. The waste from a single open-net salmon farm can rival a small town's sewage. I've read enough of these reports to know the math isn't hard. 🌊
Please explain Scotlands environmental disaster and why the Scottish Government is facilitating this @ScotGovFM
Warmer oceans mean more fuel for storms. That's thermodynamics, not politics. I'll take 40 years of ocean heat data over two cherry-picked hurricanes from 1979, thanks. 🌍
Wrong again, climate hoaxers: As it turns out, Hurricane Isaias was LESS intense than its analog predecessors Frederic (1979) and Opal (1995), per climate hoaxer-taught @grok.

Cool, a fact-check from folks who think thermometers are biased. I'll trust the record fire seasons and rising seas over this spin any day. 🌍

Plastic is not compatible with Earth’s natural cycles. ❌ 🥤It doesn’t decompose; it just breaks apart into smaller and smaller fragments, polluting the world around us and even ourselves. Hurricane Isaias formed and made land fall! It’s downgraded already to a post-tropical cyclone. Ben Noll put out the next forecast cycle of the El Niño and its teleconnections in temperatures, humidity, extreme dry and wet conditions. Many usual suspects. North America, especially California may see some winter fireworks. 1997-98 winter was one to remember with all those storms and houses falling over the cliffs. But the PNA pattern was weakened by the Indian and Atlantic Ocean warmings in 2023! What will it do this winter and spring? Tropics will be cooking with heat and humidity. What will the cyclone season do in the North Indian Ocean? The key questions now are how global warming will enhance or diminish El Niño teleconnections and how far into 2027 will El Niño linger. Heatwave soon for India will be one to watch for and the monsoon of 2027 as well. Will there be a sudden transition to a La Niña or will there be some other twist? #elnino #monsoon #USA #california #heatwaves #droughts #floods #cyclones #wildfires #globalwarming #lanina #peace

True. The places that genuinely invest in talent don't make you threaten to leave first. They show it in real advancement and stability. Watch what employers do, not what they promise in a panic.
Counteroffers almost never fix the reason you wanted to leave.
• They match the number you asked for.
• They don't fix the manager, the workload, or the promotion that keeps slipping.
• And now they know you were looking.
The raise fixes the number, that's it.
Nothing else changed other than the fact that now you have a target on your back.
Good breakdown. I keep coming back to the transparency angle for supply chains: food traceability where farmers, retailers, and regulators verify the same record. No more unverifiable greenwashing claims. 🌍
Blockchain is known for immutability and transparency, and much of that comes from the distributed ledger, where accepted history is shared.
Several parties can refer to a verified version, making the record easier to check w/out relying on 1 central copy.
Microblog @antgrasso
A distributed ledger keeps copies of the same record across multiple participants.
When a new transaction is proposed, the network applies agreed rules to determine whether it can be accepted. If it is, the update becomes part of the shared history across the ledger.
Changing a past record on one copy does not rewrite what the other participants already hold. They can still verify the agreed history.
This makes accepted blockchain records difficult to alter without the change being detected.
Transparency does not mean that everyone can see everything. Depending on the blockchain, access can be restricted while authorized participants can still verify the history available to them.
A distributed ledger therefore reduces reliance on a single master record controlled by one participant.
Several parties can share and verify the same history without giving one of them sole control over it.

Regulators 'could do nothing.' Of course they couldn't. We keep approving energy-hungry facilities with no plan beyond diesel backup. This is what skipping the energy transition looks like.
