Sigh. Sept sales weren’t that great for FMR & XR (although it’s moot as Paddle says they don’t pay until the 14th).
I am $2700 too short for Sept’s rent and will be evicted October 10th. Any help to prevent that would be extremely, greatly appreciated. gofund.me/7a571d042

Sad. Tim Curry was of course iconic in Rocky Horror Picture Show, but my favorite performance of his was in the criminally underrated "Clue." RIP.

The world does not need an artificial intelligence that diminishes humanity; rather, it needs human intelligence enlightened by wisdom, political authority guided by conscience and technological innovation directed by charity. Only then will artificial intelligence become not a rival to humanity but a servant of the common good.

If any of my past work on #OpenBSD, or my highlight posts here has been helpful to you at all, a small recurring monthly donation would help me pay for pizza, rent, & thinkpads (in that order). 🍕💻

A must read. I sat next to Julia on a long international flight on AF2. I never knew she was trans. I knew her as a patriotic woman whose expertise in national security was deeply valued by VP Mike Pence. After all, that’s all that should matter.
Glad & not surprised Pence treated her with the respect and dignity she deserves.
"Pence... ripped through the briefing book, firing questions at me, scribbling in the margins.... Down the hall, the president was using his phone to light up Twitter. The vice president preferred to use our multibillion-dollar intel apparatus to save lives."

Well, solar panels do indeed not work well at night, for there is no sun.
Bronze star for effort.
Customers of the largest U.S. regional power operator, PJM, experienced a heat wave on July 2-3 that triggered peak electricity demand. During the 5pm peak demand hours on both days, 82% of available wind power failed. By sunset, despite still high temps, 99% of solar power also failed.
Thankfully, we have stopped the premature shutdown of reliable power.

PSA: if you have high blood pressure please do listen to your doctor. I am listening now. Runs in my family. Maybe it does in yours. Over 30 million Americans who need to take action are currently just like I was before I got a non-life threatening wake up call 👍

💯 The split is no longer left-right as much as the normies who want to resolve differences rationally within our traditional system versus the extremists, populists, & cranks (far left & far right) who want to burn down our system and crush their enemies by any means necessary.
