Severe storms in the form of a line, are possible this evening and tonight. Greatest impacts will be over southern KS and SE KS. Could see wind gusts of 80 mph, quarter size hail and a brief tornado. Practice your safety plan now. #kswx

Please do not come to Andover unless you have too. Emergency services want to focus on the familes in Andover and not have to manage people wanted to drive by to see the damages. – at Wichita, KS

A remarkable and well-documented tornado occurred earlier near Andover, KS, lofting debris upwards of 21,000 feet! This combined with a peak rotational velocity of 55 kt from the KICT 88D would suggest an intense (EF3-range) tornado, though EF4 is not out of the question #kswx
