WHAT HAPPENED TO MILK? So many people have quietly given it up. A staple in our diet… slowly neglected and forgotten, and honestly - it’s not hard to see why. Walk into the milk aisle and it’s all the same. Row upon row of bright white cartons - perfectly uniform with no story and no provenance. Just price - a race to the bottom that’s stripped the value out of milk completely. Then there's the taste - that’s gone too. When efficiency becomes the priority, milk gets pushed hard - blasted through systems designed for speed so the natural variation disappears and the character is lost It becomes… functional - from supermarkets in Lands end to John O Groats, it's just 'milk'. And then there’s how it makes people feel. Bloating. Discomfort. Just not right after a glass - so people stop drinking it and somewhere along the way, we all just accepted that. But here’s the thing… Milk hasn’t changed. The way we treat it has. Most supermarket milk is heavily standardised - broken down and forced to behave the same every time. It’s efficient, consistent and it lasts. But it’s a long way from how milk starts its life. What we do is much simpler. We don’t blast it in high pressure machines. We don’t force it into uniformity. We handle it gently and leave its natural structure largely intact whilst brewing it for safety. And then the messages come in… “I can drink this.” “I thought milk was the problem.” “This feels completely different.” We’re not making medical claims - everyone’s different. But there’s a growing belief that how milk is processed matters - and studies are beginning to show it. Keep it closer to its natural state and it may be easier for some people to enjoy. Fats. Proteins. Nutrients - all still there in abundance If you’ve written it off… maybe it’s worth another conversation. 50% off your first two weeks with code MOSSGIELMM themodernmilkman.co.uk/produ…

What a humble and inspiring man @lowcarbGP is. His amazing work started with a curiosity of a patient who had cured T2 diabetes with diet. His decade of results prove the value of diet for diabetes and beyond. The data are outstanding. Are other GPs not curious/ interested?

Most people think they eat processed foods because they have anxiety and depression, they put the wagon in front of the horse.
Do you think most people realize that processed foods can create anxiety or depression?

Yes, and for so long and the worst so many still do beleive
Isn’t it incredible that we all ‘swallowed’ *carbs for energy/stable blood sugar* & *meat/fat are bad* messages when the following are incontrovertible? -humans evolved & survived eating meat/fat -bodies & brains are made of proteins & fats It’s like the emperor’s new clothes!

Very interesting article about prevalence of Alzheimers in Finland, thank you Peter
Not only do Finland top the suicide-ranks among the Nordic countries. Finland tops the #Alzheimers (Type 3 diabetes) rakning globally. Could the latter be linked to the North Karelia Project? peterosterbergphd.blogspot.c… @MarinSanna @HSarkkinen @FinGovernment @THLorg @HelsinkiUniMed

Thank you for sharing, it is very real, I have seen the devastation of this brain illness for 29 years now. An I have also worked with alcoholics and drugaddicts, sugar is the gateway drug and exactly the same if not worse, early and constant exposure
Replying to @BrianWiley_
Food addiction has been a controversial subject recently; many people deny it even exists because they can't fathom the fact that you can be addicted to food; others are offended because they believe the word addicted should only apply to things like drugs & alcohol.

Why do people on a low carb diet eat only dark chocolate? Because milk chocolate has LOADS of sugar in it Equivalent to FOURTEEN teaspoons of sugar per 100g 😱Look how the sugar content drops as it gets darker phcuk.org/sugar/ @DiabetesUK – at North West, England

New research shows depression in ppl in 🇬🇧 with type 2 diabetes has ⬆️ from 29 to 43% since 2006 I wonder if this is because of lack of hope of a better future 🤔 BUT so many can reverse their T2DM by ⬇️ sugar + carbs there is real #hope for the future diabetologia-journal.org/202…
