JUST IN: SOME ANTHROPIC INVESTORS ARE REPORTEDLY WEIGHING A LOWER VALUATION AHEAD OF ITS IPO
Some investors discussed a valuation of around $1.5 trillion, below the roughly $2 trillion previously expected for its November share sale, per Reuters, citing people familiar with the matter.
At its investor day on Wednesday, Anthropic reportedly told investors its third-quarter revenue rose 45% from the prior quarter to $16.8 billion, and that it was profitable on an adjusted basis.
Some investors were disappointed that growth slowed after revenue more than doubled to $11.6 billion in the second quarter, the people said.
Anthropic did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Hours later: 6-K. Not a new note — they repriced the old one. Pure Capital’s $2.02M converts at $1.50 (stock closed $3.63). No cash to the company.
Called the financier, missed the method: the floor in a non-recourse note is only the floor until both sides sign a letter.

THE NEWS
$GENK. 8:31 this morning: board approves a binding letter of intent to sell 47 of its Korean BBQ restaurants to Chubby Group for 100 million dollars. Stock closed at 1.45 yesterday, a 52 week low. Spiked to 2.85 premarket.
THE CATCH
Read the release. It’s not cash, it’s a note. The 100 million can shrink, locations can be pulled and part of it is tied to performance. It takes 12 months in 4 phases, while their 13.75 million dollar credit line matured September 25 with no renewal on file. And they have a 25 million dollar ELOC with Roth that just went effective October 8, 4 sessions before this press release.
THE PLAYBOOK
We’ve seen this movie. Same 100 million dollar headline came out non binding in August. Ran to 2.32, then bled to 1.45.
THE TRADE
`Shorted the 10:10 pop in the 2.15 to 2.25 area, added 2.02 to 2.12 when it could hold above VWAP any longer and covered on the way down. 6.9K on the day.

FRMI: No Details Means Fluff
INTRO
Hedge fund trader with a hat. 10 million verified on Kinfo. Here’s the top opp of the day.
THE NEWS
FRMI ran yesterday on an AMD credit support agreement. The PR had no details. No dollar amount, no terms, nothing. When there are no details, it’s usually fluff.
WHY
Here’s the thing. Fermi needs money to finish building the plant. Their own 10 Q says Phase 1 needs capital they don’t have. I didn’t see how a credit support agreement from AMD was going to fix that. That’s not a check.
THE TRADE
So I shorted that opening bounce. Got chopped up a little, but I stuck with it. Covered over half near the close yesterday and a little more early after hours.
THE 8K — chart: fact sheet slide, circle the line
This morning the 8 K came out with the details. AMD’s support begins once construction is done. Early 2028. It backs the rent after the building exists. It doesn’t pay for the building. Exactly what I thought.
THE MISTAKE
And here’s my mistake. The stock spiked first thing this morning on that 8 K, I got scared and covered the rest at 3.65. It’s at 3.15 now. Could have done a lot better. Made 14 thousand on it. Should have been more.

Lots of base hits adding up today. I'm glad not everything was China related. I shorted $FRMI yesterday and covered it way too early today. $GENK I got a nice backside short off. $GLND glad to see that stock in play today as well and was very patient before I shorted and got a nice win. $TCRT I went long that in the low 3s late in the day yesterday and sold some after hours and the rest today before it totally tanked. Yeah I don't always short. I alerted all of these in the TraderPods.org chat room.
