Tune in tomorrow on @ThePracticalDev!
What actually happens when you send a request to an LLM? Gateway → tokenizer → router → queue → prefill → decode → streamed back to you, one token at a time. I'm tracing the whole trip tomorrow at Hacktoberfest 2026. ⚡ Thu, Oct 22 online @ 10am PT / 1pm ET link below 👇

What am I hearing about Ebola in Abuja today? Tomorrow, we’ll hear that the government has approved ₦40 billion to fight Ebola.

Niceee! Looking forward to what you build.

Yes. My next improvement now would be to give it external references. My experiments all showed that having a design to observe dramatically improved its output

I really need to get used to making decisions without overthinking the possible outcomes. worst case scenario, I get a negative response, best case scenario, it changes my life.

How I stay consistent with my 365 Days of Code challenge. A lot of people have been asking me how I manage to show up every day, write code, build projects, and share updates everyday. Here’s what has helped me: 1. I don’t wait for motivation. Some days I’m excited to code. Other days, I just want to rest. I’ve learned not to depend on how I feel. I show up regardless. 2. I work on real projects. I’m not just coding for the sake of completing the challenge. I work on products, experiment with new technologies, fix bugs, and build features. Having something meaningful to work on makes it easier to keep going. 3. I document my progress. Sharing what I’m building publicly gives me a way to track my growth. When I look back at older posts, I can see how far I’ve come, and that motivates me to keep going. 4. I don’t try to do everything in one day. I don’t just wake up and start coding randomly. I create a plan for what I want to build and break it down into features I can implement step by step. This gives me direction and helps me stay focused. 5. I focus on showing up, not being perfect. There are days when things don’t go as planned. I’ve learned that consistency isn’t about having a perfect routine; it’s about finding a way to keep moving forward. I’m currently on this journey, and one thing I’ve learned is that consistency becomes easier when you build a system around it instead of relying on motivation alone. You don’t have to do something extraordinary every day. Just make sure you’re moving forward. If you’re working on a long-term goal, start today. Document your progress, stay accountable, and keep going. I’m currently building Coddle Learn, an open source platform for developers and techies to learn, practice and build their portfolio.

After my engagements in Manchester, I honoured another impromptu engagement in Birmingham, UK, with a group of Nigerians having their annual general meeting. Our discussions centered on achieving our collective purpose of building a New Nigeria that works for all, which is centered on tackling corruption and electing competent leaders with capacity, character, compassion and commitment, to unite, secure, and move the nation from consumption to production. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Honestly, I'm not satisfied yet. The designs still play it too safe. But the progress shows more is possible, and I learned a lot very fast. Big thanks to @BackboardIO for credits and R-CLI coding harness, which handles every experiment.

So Skulptor does the same with open models: Kimi K3 designs and writes the handoff DeepSeek V4.1 Flash builds it Kimi checks the build at least once Each run costs cents.

My focus is on coding, starting from frontends because I believe that is the current moat close source AI has. First tries were disappointing. Then I studied Claude Design + Claude Code. Claude Code follows a Design handoff almost to the pixel. The trick is a separate designer.

I Joined the Hacktoberfest Week 2 "Side Hustle" challenge on @ThePracticalDev. To build on open weight models and get a paying customer. My question: can cheap open source models design AND code a decent landing page? So I built Skulptor, an agent skill for exactly that. 🧵

I never really paid attention to open source but this year I am getting a bit curious about contributing. Surprisingly no one is talking about Hacktoberfest like before. What Happened? Any tips? @Samson_Goddy @swacblooms
