In Python, variables & data structures don't "contain" objects: they "point", "bind", or "refer" to them.
This is an important concept that's both easy to overlook and hard to internalize.

The thing I most wanted to do last night, the very last thing before going to bed before we move house today, was lock myself out of the house alarm, set off the tamper alarm (setting the sirens off), and have to call out the on-call engineer at 1am.

A LITTLE THREAD: So I've just moved to Cardiff... and today I took my 10 year old son to the rugby... Wales v Fiji. He's been really excited about coming here... we've kicked and thrown a rugby ball around Kyiv... but this was his first ever match. It was a big deal.
