Co-wrote a @TechCabal feature piece 2 months ago about how Nigerian developers are building AI tools to make things easier in the church.
Worked with my team to adapt this into a subject-led video. It went live on Sunday and now has >22k views on IG and >41k views on X.
Nigerian developers are reimagining how the church and technology can work together, creating tools that go beyond answering doctrinal questions to solving real-time challenges during services.
One of them, @darasoba , built @pewbeam_ai , a tool that automatically displays Bible verses as the pastor preaches, based on their words or paraphrases. It was first tested last month at @cci_ibadan , with plans for wider rollout.
Here’s Dara sharing the inspiration behind Pewbeam AI.

was trying to exit an event and someone with their mobile videographer literally blocked the exit doing dancing content. I get it, so I stood aside waiting to pass. These people continued and didn’t have the courtesy to step aside until a line began to form. This isn’t normal

You would think the Gen Z want fewer letters when they come up with ‘unc’. But then same folks invent ‘superdad’. What’s the etymological approach, cousins?

Random pet peeve:
It gets under my skin when someone says “yes” or “no” to a an alternative question.
Like someone says, “is it urgent or can you wait?”….and you say Yes.
Yes what?????
“Are you driving or taking the train?”
“No”
No what?????

Hate it so much 😂

Can we normalize putting actual summaries on the back of books again instead of endless reviews?
I genuinely just want to know what the book is about before I decide whether I want to pick it up.

wallahi in this life, please allow your children to bring their curiosities to you. all the weird questions.
but my case was well and truly just about hunger. being hungry for love, for acceptance, for praise, it can make you eat anything. even poison.

One of the cruelest things poverty takes from you is the freedom to make mistakes. Every decision has to work.

I dunno who needs to hear this but read your friend's Substacks.
There's a version of them living in those pages that everyday conversation never reveals.
