A friend in a bar once complained that I got bought drinks way more than she did.
I asked if she ever smiled at cute guys. She said no, that's way too forward!
I asked if she ever separated herself from the group to buy a drink or pick a song on the jukebox. She said no, she liked someone to go with her!
I pointed out we were there with 2 guy friends so guys didn't know if we were single. She said, but one is gay & one has a girlfriend! 🤦♀️
Cute women really out here on pick-up Easy Mode & they still won't try 😅

hot take: the first date shouldn't be fun on purpose.
lots of people can have fun together at mini golf, a concert, or some elaborate activity.
but the more entertaining the date, the harder it is to tell whether you actually like the person.
if you're looking for a long-term relationship, the best first dates are simple. a walk in a nice park. ice cream. a drink on a patio. dates that are light but focus on the person rather than the activity.
it's surprisingly easy to enjoy an activity. it's much harder to enjoy a person.
the first few dates are for figuring out which one it is.

so do kids these days not know “you tell the smart girl she’s pretty and the pretty girl she’s smart” has this ancestral knowledge been lost

Second-time Founders is my favourite gender :
1) no deck until someone asks three times
2) first hire is a lawyer
3) distribution for the product before the product exists
4) "we don't need a big round" and means it this time
5) replies to every customer email personally because they know what ignoring customers cost them last time
6) sleeps 8 hours and ships faster than everyone else
7) the only person in the room who isn't impressed by the term sheet
Second-time founders are the best breed of founders
If the voters vote red, people who don't vote die.
Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?
42%Red
58%Blue

claude-code has a "Frustrated User Detection"
There's a regex that detects when you're angry
( fully hard coded btw)
When triggered, it changes Claude's behavior/UI state.
Claude literally knows when you're cussing at it.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The frustration detection regex only identifies negative keywords for analytics logging and does not change Claude's behavior or UI state. alex000kim.com/posts/2026-03-… raw.githubusercontent.com/alex000kim/cla…
