On day one, I warned that this would go down as the biggest corruption scandal in Maldivian history.
But it has now become even worse than I initially feared.
As if being the biggest corruption scandal in our history wasn’t bad enough, it also had to involve a deal with a well-known zionist sympathiser.
#EagleHillsOut #MvAgainstZionists #AlabbarOut
Generally, there is one obvious question when a government avoids open bidding, secretly selects a company and negotiates the terms behind closed doors and then try to convince public that it’s the “best deal”
This is usually done when the decision makers stand to personally benefit from the decision.
Politicians will always claim their secretly negotiated deal is the “best deal.” Open bidding is how you prove it.
This will go down in Maldivian history as the largest corruption scandals we have ever seen.
We have spent years talking about MMPRC, a corruption scandal involving hundreds of millions of dollars.
Rasmale involves a multi-billion-dollar public asset, it’s a multi billion dollar corruption case!
Mohamed Alabbar and his links to the biggest Terrorist organisation called Israel. Think as to why the current Maldives government is hiding the agreement to sell land. I am against selling (same as leasing for 99 yrs to whoever who supports the genocide and who has links Israel

Another friend msgd me today, “Why are you so worried of Alabbar being a zionist? We make the laws. He's only here for business.”
Perhaps I am a coward. But I believe my concerns are justified.
Israel is a small country, yet pro-zionist lobbying networks have built considerable political influence in some of the most powerful countries in the world. This did not happen overnight. It took decades of organised advocacy, political relationships, financial contributions and access to decision-makers.
Look at the US. AIPAC and its power over US. Look at Britain. Conservative Friends of Israel and Labour Friends of Israel have cultivated relationships across party lines for decades.
But perhaps the more relevant ex for us are much closer to home.
Look at the UAE. Until 2020, it had no formal diplomatic relations with Israel. Today, the two countries have embassies, a comprehensive economic partnership agreement and billions of dollars in annual trade. Even the devastating war in Gaza did not bring their economic relationship to an end.
Look at Morocco. In 2020, it restored diplomatic relations with Israel. By 2022, the two countries were signing economic cooperation agreements covering trade, investment and industrial development. Despite widespread public protests against normalisation, their governments have continued pursuing bilateral cooperation.
Look at Bahrain. It established diplomatic relations with Israel in 2020, and despite considerable public opposition and the war in Gaza, those relations have not been formally severed.
These countries have different political histories, and their decisions were driven by different strategic interests. But they demonstrate something important, once economic dependency become established, reversing them can be politically and economically difficult, even when public opinion turns against them.
Now consider what we are being told about Rasmale.
Our own ministers are claiming that this single project would generate more tax revenue than our entire existing tourism industry. Think about what that means.
If those projections materialise, half of our future government revenue dependent on one development and the business interests behind it. And the man behind this development a zionist. We will become the first 100% Muslim nation to make half its economy dependent on a single zionist-aligned investor.
So when someone tells me, “Don't worry, we make the laws, he's only here for business,” I wonder whether they understand how economic power gradually translate into political leverage.
Laws are important. But laws are made, amended and enforced by politicians. The more economically dependent a government & people becomes on a particular investor, the harder it becomes to make decisions against that investor's interests.
We are a small country with limited resources, fragile institutions and an economy already vulnerable to external pressures. Yet some seem convinced that we can enter an arrangement of this magnitude, with zionist aligned group, control every consequence and walk away whenever we please.
I do not share that confidence.
Perhaps I am a coward. But I would rather be cautious today than discover tomorrow that we have made ourselves dependent on an investor whose political affiliations, business relationships and potential influence we had every reason to scrutinise.
The greatest mistake any nation can make is to overestimate its ability to control powerful economic interests while underestimating the leverage those interests may acquire over time.
And if, years from now, I turn out to be wrong, you are welcome to remember me as the coward who worried too much.
But if I turn out to be right, I already know whose stories I will be telling my children, the stories of those who were warned, who had every opportunity to think twice, yet chose to let it happen.

🇶🇦|Emir of Qatar:This Is Not a Drill, It Is a Warning. Prepare for the Worst
October 13, 2026 | Doha
The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, issued a statement:
"We must prepare for the worst-case scenario, and everyone institutions and citizens alike must shoulder their responsibilities."
This was not a routine address; it was a warning of war.
What is the worst-case scenario for Qatar?
Qatar hosts Al Udeid Air Base, the largest U.S. military base in the Middle East.
If the U.S. or Israel launches a new round of strikes against Iran, Al Udeid Air Base sits high on Iran's list of targets for retaliation.
Iran has already demonstrated its capability to strike U.S. assets in West Asia. The U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain has suffered severe damage from Iranian strikes; U.S. bases in Iraq have been hit by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq; and U.S. bases in Syria have been targeted by resistance forces.
Qatar knows that if the war escalates, its territory will become a battlefield.
Qatar's Dilemma
Qatar maintains relations with both sides.
It has a defense agreement with the U.S. It hosts Al Udeid Air Base and permits the U.S. to launch bombers against Iran from Qatari soil.
However, it also shares the world's largest natural gas field the North Field/South Pars field with Iran. Qatar's liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports rely on this field, and these exports must pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
The Strait of Hormuz is in Iranian hands; the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy controls the waterway. Iran has seized three non-compliant tankers in three days and reached an agreement with Oman regarding a temporary shipping lane one that excludes the U.S.
If Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz, Qatar's LNG exports would be cut off. If those exports are severed, Qatar's economy would collapse.
The Emir of Qatar made it clear: prepare for the worst. The message is that if the U.S. and Israel expand the war into the Gulf, Qatar cannot pretend it is not on the battlefield. What is Qatar doing?
Qatar is issuing warnings.
Mishaal Al Thani, Qatar’s ambassador to Washington, has publicly stated: "Saudi Arabia bears responsibility for the devastation in Yemen; its brutal attacks have pushed 17 million Yemenis to the brink of famine."
Qatar has not joined military operations against Iran. Qatar has not joined the war in Yemen. Qatar has not signed the Abraham Accords with Israel.
Qatar is mediating. It mediates between Israel and Hamas. It conveys messages between Iran and the United States. It plays a role regarding Afghanistan.
But mediation cannot shield Qatar from the fallout of war. If the U.S. launches airstrikes on Iran from Al Udeid, Iran will not distinguish between a "mediator" and a "combatant."
Who bears what responsibility?
The Emir has said: "Everyone must shoulder their own responsibilities—institutions and citizens alike."
What is the responsibility of institutions? The military must be prepared. Emergency services must be ready. The energy sector must be prepared. The diplomatic corps must be ready.
What is the responsibility of citizens? Remain vigilant. Follow instructions. Do not panic.
But where does the ultimate responsibility lie?
With those who dragged Qatar into the U.S. war machine. With those who allowed Al Udeid Air Base to be used for attacks on Iran. With those who thought they could host a U.S. base while simultaneously maintaining relations with Iran.
Qatar can continue to hedge its bets. But war does not allow for hedging; war forces you to pick a side.
The bottom line
The Emir of Qatar has made it clear: prepare for the worst-case scenario.
What is the worst-case scenario?
The U.S. and Israel launch a new round of strikes against Iran. Iran retaliates against U.S. assets in West Asia. Al Udeid Air Base is struck. The Strait of Hormuz is closed. Qatar’s LNG exports are cut off. Qatar’s economy collapses.
Qatar hosts the largest U.S. base in the Middle East. Qatar relies on the Strait of Hormuz to export LNG. Qatar shares the world's largest natural gas field with Iran.
If the war escalates, Qatar cannot pretend it is not on the battlefield. Qatar must decide: whether to continue providing bases for the U.S. war machine, or to choose a different path for its own survival.

For more than 8 years, I’ve done what many of us did, poured my time, energy, and sleepless nights trying to do what we believed was best for this country. We tore down parties, lifted others up, only to watch every single one fail us. Each disappointment worse than the last.
After all these years, I’ve learned enough lessons, painfully, and at great cost.
As I begin this 6,000 km journey across the Indian Ocean, I am absolutely sure about one thing:
I will never again stand behind any existing political party or politician the way I used to. Call me not. That door is closed for good. I have given up on you all.
I haven’t given up on the cause but only on the system, culture and belief that keeps giving us the same two factions and calling it the “only choice”
When you, too, decide that this country deserves more than the same two options, each taking turns in destroying this country every fiver years - reach out and we will talk

Maldives Pearl Residency Program by Henley & Partners
To this day, the public knows virtually nothing about the agreement signed between the Maldivian government and Henley & Partners (H&P). In fact, I suspect most Maldivians are not even aware of this engagement.
It is precisely this culture of secrecy that is eroding public trust in the government.
Adding to my concerns are H&P’s documented connections with Israel and its chairman’s openly expressed interest in attracting Israeli investors.
In an interview to israeli journalist Ronit Dmeke, published last December, Christian H. Kälin, the Chairman of Henley & Partners, said:
Henley's most recent contract, he says, is with the Maldives. ‘It's one of the top tourist destinations in the world with a strong brand. People go there for vacation, but now the government wants them to buy a second home and receive residency. We're helping promote the visa, which they call the Pearl Visa. We expect wealthy people from around the world to buy additional homes there, and we hope many Israelis will do so.”
This does not necessarily mean H&P will succeed in bringing Israeli residents to the Maldives.
But the fact that the chairman of a company contracted by our government to promote a residency programme is openly expressing such ambitions should be deeply concerning.
When discussions with H&P first began, many of us raised concerns about its connections with Israel and zionist affiliations. Yet the government appeared to pay little attention to those warnings.
And interestingly, just like the Rasmale project, this is another initiative that former President @MohamedNasheed appears to support.
Why are agreements with such far-reaching implications for our country being made without transparency, public scrutiny or meaningful consultation? The Gov cannot expect the public to trust decisions when it refuses to disclose what has been agreed upon, on what terms, and with what long-term implications for the country. Especially when it comes to deals to with zionists.
Also, one question I keep coming back to is, how will Henley & Partners and Eagle Hills work together.
The Maldives already has a partnership with Henley & Partners for residency programmes. In other countries, Henley & Partners has entered into exclusive agreements. I’m not sure whether the Maldivian agreement is exclusive.
But if it is, Eagle Hills has to channel its residency applicants through Henley & Partners. And would Eagle Hills agree to that? I find that highly unlikely.
Perhaps one of our journalist friends could investigate and write an investigative piece on this. Direct Q on this issue to economic minister, housing minister and the AG

🇮🇷|IRGC Did Something the US Government Never Expected: It Wrote a Letter Directly to the American People.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps invited journalists to a briefing to present a letter addressed to the American people. Not to Trump. Not to Congress. Not to the Pentagon. To the American people.
This is not a diplomatic gesture. This is an act of war on the US government’s monopoly on lies.
What the letter says
We have not seen the full text. But we know what Iran has been saying for 47 years. And we know what the IRGC has been saying since February.
The letter will say:
The American people have been lied to.
Your government told you the war was about nuclear weapons. It was about Israel.
Your government told you Iran was the aggressor. The US and Israel bombed Iran first.
Your government told you the blockade was about freedom of navigation. It was about regime change.
Your government told you Iran was isolated. Iran is flying to 30 countries, trading with China and Russia, and building railways to Central Asia.
Your government told you the war would be quick and cheap. Your diesel is $6.53 a gallon. Your national debt just hit $40 trillion. Your refineries are running at 97% and you haven’t built a new one in 50 years.
Your government told you Iran was the threat. Iran has never invaded a single country. Iran has never occupied a single inch of Arab land. Iran has never bombed a school in America.
But your government bombed a school in Iran. 168 girls. Ages 6 to 12. And your president said, “I can live with it.”
Why the IRGC is doing this
Because the US government and its media have blocked every channel of truth.
CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal they all tell you the same story. Iran is the enemy. Israel is the victim. America is the hero. The war is necessary. The blockade is legitimate.
They will not report this letter. They will not show this briefing. They will not let you read the words of the IRGC.
Because if they did, you would ask questions. You would ask: Why did we bomb a girls’ school? Why did we kill Ali Khamenei? Why did we assassinate Iranian scientists? Why did we steal 6 million barrels of Iranian oil? Why did we target 85% of Iranian oil tankers? Why did we threaten to shut down every Iranian airline? Why did we sanction medicine and food?
They cannot answer those questions. So they will ignore the letter. They will ignore the briefing. They will ignore the truth.
The IRGC is a military organization. Not a government. Not a foreign ministry. A military force.
It does not write letters to foreign publics. It does not hold press briefings for journalists. It does not appeal to the conscience of the enemy’s population.
It fights. It builds missiles. It plans operations. It kills Americans who attack Iran.
So when the IRGC invites journalists to present a letter to the American people, something has changed.
The IRGC has decided that the American people are not the enemy. The IRGC has decided that the American people are hostages of their own government. The IRGC has decided that the American people deserve to know the truth.
The IRGC is not afraid of the American people. It is afraid of what the American government is doing to the American people and to the world in their name.
