Emily writes the @beehiiv newsletters you love, and @simdums uses @zapier to automate our sanity But really, we're just a lil group of friends trying to help 1million generalists. Anyways! We have this rule right.. NO NEW IDEAS. It's a necessary evil because a) we love ideas but b) see how small our team is lol. Ece and I had the idea (oops) to run a Summer School series and, well. Rules are made to be broken.....? So we set to work, each tapping into our strengths. My superpower is building relationships. I do it all day, everyday. Have done for years. So when the time came to bring in partners we thought... YOLO let's swing for the rafters and get amazinggg brands involved like @canva @lovable @zapier @Reddit @NotionHQ @Ultraspeaking @launchlemonade (we don't do things by halves lel) Ece's superpower is filtering my wild ideas for the ones that are actually magic. She then whips together, singlehandedly might I add, an entire event programme. Idk how she does it. Canva hooked us up with an epic event space. But alas, we needed a sponsor! So I posted on Twitter and 15 mins later @MindaugasLT DM'd me, I'd sent a Stripe link, $$ was in the bank and Lovable was our sponsor! (Twitter IS the undefeated champion for doing deals in the DMs) Y'day I announced Summer School on LinkedIn, thinking people would be kind of excited but.. 150+ comments. 600+ signups. Canva event sold out immediately. And we hadn't even sent the email yet, eeeeeekkkk!! This tells me two things: 1. there's so much demand for us running cool events its absurd!
