damn, Nietzsche went hard on this: "Every characteristic absence of spirituality, every piece of common vulgarity, is due to an inability to resist a stimulus."

Few people I'd trust to learn how to leverage AI in your creative workflow. Lawrence is at the top of my list. I've taken several of his other programs over the years and they're all fantastic. So do yourself a favor and check this one out.
Life update! I’m starting an AI education business. It’s called More To Build. It’s a 3-week cohort where you’ll make amazing tools that once lived inside your head. By the end, you’ll have: - An AI Studio that knows your style - A Idea Playground that understands how you think - A library of tools that are customized to you I’m starting this because I want more people to see how AI can be used as a force for creativity. That if used with intention, it can lead to creative breakthroughs that you’ve never had before. In the past few months, I’ve been teaching AI to my friends and family to see how it felt. And what I saw empowered me so much. My 75-year-old dad built a product that can digitize an old, paper version of a family tree. You just need to take pictures of it, and the product will organize and list each family member in an interactive format. This project has energized him so much that he's now having meetings with other genealogy companies, trying to sell his product to them. Once again, he's 75. Age ain't nothing but a number if you're feeling fired up. My wife built a platformer game for my daughter which makes it fun to learn Cantonese and Korean. We've been trying to find something like this for YEARS, as no company ever made a good one. But now, she has one with every feature she wants. And it incorporates my wife’s artistic style, which makes it look like she designed it herself. The more people I taught, the more I saw this kind of thing. So then I wondered if my audience would be interested in me teaching it to them. At first I was kinda scared, thinking that I was “going outside of my lane” by sharing this idea. But then I thought, “In the year 2026, no one has ‘a lane’ anymore. You evolve, re-invent, and create your own lanes.” So I wrote up a long essay with my thoughts on AI, created a landing page for a 3-week cohort, and sent it out to my readers. The response was incredible. Hundreds of people signed up for the waitlist in a single day, and many, many people reached out to indicate their interest. The most common response was, “Dude, it makes so much sense that you’re teaching this." Take that, imposter syndrome. So here we go: Introducing More To Build. There are 6 live sessions: Session 1 is on giving your AI a compass. Get it to understand who you are, and what you need help with. Session 2 is on setting up your Idea Playground. Give it examples of your work, develop a style guide, and connect it to other apps you use. Session 3 is on building your first tool. You'll go from 0 -> 1 and learn how to iterate on it. Session 4 is on skills and publishing those tools. Get what you make up on the internet for people to see. Session 5 is Build Day. You'll go through the whole loop in a single session. Session 6 is the final roadmap, where you'll learn how to maintain and keep your AI Studio fresh. Enrollment for Cohort 1 just opened up today! Learn more here: moretobuild.com/ -Lawrence

There’s no reason to make a boring course anymore. In More To Build, I’m using AI to create the most engaging program I can. For example, instead of your boring, typical “welcome email” onboarding, I built an animated sequence where people are welcomed into a cozy cabin. A key opens the cabin, we bring you inside, and you’re introduced to our lovely AI character (any suggestions for names?). Since it’s synced up to ThriveCart (my checkout software), he can cross-reference the student’s name and email address to confirm their enrollment, which will then kick off the sequence. From here, the student can add the course calendar with the press of a button. They will then answer a few questions that helps me understand why they’re here, and what they want to build. The drawing style is based on my simple line drawings, which Claude has a detailed style guide on. This all works when AI first knows who you are, and you let it understand the way you work. This is the part most people skip; they go straight to using AI without realizing that YOU are the centerpiece of it all. My goal with More To Build is to bridge this gap, and to show how your identity is the key to making the most of AI. Cohort 1 is open for enrollment now. Learn more here: moretobuild.com/ -Lawrence P.S. I just opened up enrollment yesterday, and the cohort is already popping off. So far we have financial advisors, physicians, prominent YouTubers, speaking coaches, marketers, and more. The more eclectic the group, the better =). Can't wait to get started!

My book, The Inner Compass, was published a year ago. But it’s still just the beginning. @penguinlibros acquired the Spanish rights to the book, and they did a beautiful job with it. They’ll be distributing it widely throughout Mexico and the South American continent, and I hope that it’ll resonate with Spanish-speaking readers. I never imagined that this self-published book would be translated into 7 languages and reach thousands of readers across the world. I had a lot of doubt in putting it out, but that doubt was just a reminder that I cared. And it truly is a gift to have something you care so deeply about. Thanks for all the love, and I look forward to sharing (much) more writing with y’all.

Building with AI has taught me that the biggest roadblock isn’t technical, as you now make whatever you want. Rather, the bottleneck is in knowing what problems you truly want to solve. My latest on treating AI as an extension of your creativity: moretothat.com/ai-is-an-exte…

I’m excited to share my new venture: More To Build! Over the past few months, I’ve been knee-deep in the world of AI. At first I was fearful of what AI meant for the creative landscape, but everything changed when I approached it from a place of curiosity. What I found is that AI is an extension of our creativity, and not a replacement for it. This single shift was a huge epiphany for me, and unlocked a whole new level of inspiration. Within days, I built an entire set of tools including: - A dashboard with all the sales trajectories (and email campaigns) for my cohorts - A first-person philosophy game that turns Bertrand Russell’s “A History of Western Philosophy” into a playable experience - An Idea Playground that connects to my highlights and blog so it helps me think through topics - Skills that help me streamline my illustration process (this saves me a TON of time) - And so much more. Through it all, the big question has been: How do I use AI in a way that amplifies my humanity? That’s where More To Build comes in. I’ve spent years studying the human condition through my work, and understand that there are certain pursuits we engage in because it makes us feel ALIVE. It makes us feel HUMAN. For me, that’s writing. For you, it might be teaching. Or speaking with clients. Whatever it is, this is your core. It’s the thing you refuse to outsource because it preserves your essence. It gives you purpose. Knowing this, here’s the key to thriving in the age of AI: Protect the core that gives you purpose. Nourish it with your time and energy. But for everything else that doesn’t, use AI to take care of it and free up your attention. And in the process, see how using AI becomes a creative act of its own. Attention is the true currency of the human spirit, and the more you invest it into what makes you feel alive, the more you’ll be able to retain your sense of agency amidst all the changes coming your way. The people that will thrive in the age of AI aren’t those that are the most technically gifted. It’s those that understand how to harness it in a way that feels most human. To use it in a way that fosters connection instead of isolation. With this in mind, I’m kicking off More To Build with a live program where you’ll set up a personalized AI studio in just 3 weeks. We’re going to do it together because it’s better that way (plus a lot more fun). And if you represent a company that wants to work in a higher-touch capacity, feel free to get in touch. In the meantime, check out the More To Build site below (which is one of my favorite things I’ve ever made) and join the waitlist. Updates will be coming very soon. I don’t understand why some writers speak of writing this way. Hellish is working in a job you absolutely despise for a boss you have no respect for. Hellish is being in a coal mine for 8-10 hours a day getting the black lung. You are writing in an air conditioned room with the privilege of sharing your ideas. If you're going to call that hellish, please go do something else.
