Nergizhanım Mammadova, whose daughter was forcibly removed from class and taken to a psychologist to have her Hijab removed, is also among the arrested mothers.
Çinare Dergahova, mother of a fourth-grader, had her protest videos deleted with the promise that "the girl would be allowed into class," and then she too was detained

Are we really going to become second-class citizens in our own country? A gated community on Maldivian soil where we need special permission to visit a hospital and our own kids might not even be allowed to go to school there just because their parents don’t work there? What are we doing? Development is supposed to benefit Maldivians, not shut them out of their own country.

Just like the “pandemic” we suddenly are bombarded with some unknown “hackers” that’s apparently attacking freezers and in this day and age governments apparently cannot find who they are . Which is quite strange.
Then they tell us to keep a little cash on hand , and some food . After basically forcing us to digitalise everything whether we wanted it or not down to even not recognising who we are until our digital identification is shown .

The Maldivian people need to understand that their time is limited when it comes to ensuring that this Rasmalé Eagle hills project does not go through.
After the contract is signed, there is nothing we can truly do. You think an MDP governed would cancel it? No.
The agreement will be signed in the middle of November. The people NEED to protest we NEED to stop this.
The entire project is shrouded in misinformation. Ministers and officials say different things behind closed doors and to the public. This is OUR land and we are selling it for 1.6 billion over 10 years. This is the stupidest most short sighted thing ever.
