ALT A small work truck driving down a side street in downtown Olympia, Washington. The trees on the sidewalk have turned red. The red-orange color of the leaves clash with the red hood on the work truck but match the color of the "Olympia Supply" text painted onto the side of the downtown hardware shop. The blue paint surrounding that text looks nice behind the leaves.

ALT A man with earbuds and running attire is walking down a side street of Olympia. In the background is a parking lot and the back side of numerous downtown businesses. I like seeing the secret alley entrances to businesses. What do people do back there? There's graffiti, old signs, windows covered and painted over, pink and teal paint, and old electrical wiring. This man with a fitness headband walking by these buildings doesn't seem to fit in this scene, but maybe we all do.

ALT A man in a blue jacket walks along the path around Olympia's Capitol Lake. The lake is mostly still. It's raining and the sky is gray. There's no people in the lake because it's too cold and that lake is apparently still unsafe for casual swimming. The man is framed by two tall green deciduous trees. Also framed by the trees is the Washington State Capitol building. It's a big looming gray building. It feels right to photograph this building on gloomy days. It fits right in with the faded raincloud aesthetic of rainy season.
