I’ve made a #retrieval sheet for Act 1 of Sailmaker to help pupils get to grips with setting, character, theme, symbolism etc. @scot_text It’s available to download for free, following this link. 🔗

Great work from @missmcvittie’s N5 class today who have been looking more closely at the Scots language used in their SST, Sailmaker. Love to see it. Thanks to @MrKavanagh for the inspo! @scot_text 💡 🧠

Will be using this ‘Stop the Bus’ game tomorrow! Thanks @AnnaGrantENG for sharing.
Well done Past Me. Was rooting about for revision resources for Duffy and I've made these at some point and forgotten.
Open link to the PDF if they can help anyone else: drive.google.com/file/d/1ShM…
Looking forward to Duffy 'Stop the Bus' too! @scot_text #SST
Definitely pinching this idea! Some great responses here ⭐️
Mr Alexander's S4 class have been #makingthinkingvisible with silent debates on various themes in #Duffy... just LOOK at that reasoning! 😍 @Linlithgow_Acad @scot_text

S5 have started their revision of their set text poems using commonality mindmaps and a one sheet revision document - thanks to @SPryke2 and @Team_English1 for the ideas #settext #revision #maccaig
We used timelines in our study sessions this week. Later we’ll use the notes to answer 10 mark questions.

Prelim marking out the way and it’s nearly February 🙌
This month we want to share some quick revision starters.
First up is ‘Cops and Robbers’ - a task we got from @KateJones_teach
🤩
Thanks to the wonderful @mrsfraserphs for sharing her fantastic #settext escape room on the poetry of Carol Ann Duffy. It proved the perfect revision task for my very tired H class coming straight from their maths prelim this afternoon @scot_text @EnglishScotland
