I've written some of the most viral launch videos on X.
(100M+ views, 50,000+ users gained)
If you scroll on X every day, odds are you've seen a launch video I wrote and directed.
Here are 3 reasons most launches fail:
1. They open with the founder's story.
Nobody cares about your personal story in the first 10 seconds, this almost instantly destroys even the greatest product launches.
The most viral launches disrupt the scroll with a bold enough claim, like "worlds first ai cfo" or "a breakthrough in LLM memory".
That frames your announcement as ground-breaking news and a promise the product now needs to prove.
Then they follow with social proof, quick stats, or subtle proof to disarm skeptical viewers before a live demo.
2. Creative Skits
99% of launches die here.
Hundreds of founders want to be "different" and "cut through the noise", but the truth is only 0.0001% of these videos go viral. Most of these skits are not worth making and would have a better outcome as a product demo.
Companies spend >$150k on a 2 minute cinematic video that results in less than 100k views and 0 demos
Instead of praying for a skit to go viral, copy a launch demo you like almost 1:1.
Re-write it to fit your product and maintain the viral beats that made the original viral.
3. Amplification
This is where most launches fail.
You'll make a launch video, write a tweet, and click post - now the work is done, right?
Wrong.
The best founders shamelessly promote their launch and growth hack every channel possible to get as many quotes, comments, and RTs as possible
> Send the launch to all of your connections (anyone from other founders, VCs, or even ppl you went to college with)
> Gamify comments (pick a controversial narrative, provide value in the replies, make it impossible not to reply)
> Amplify with influencers (steal their past viral posts and re-write them for your product)
If you do these right, you're on track for a viral launch.
I’m hiring the world’s most chronically online scriptwriter. ($5K referral)
Send me to DM to apply, but before you do, watch the video below.
Every line in our script:
> Was precisely written to make the viewer feel something
> Exposed a problem anyone could relate to
> Stated facts that started arguments in the comments
You’re a perfect fit if:
> Bad copy makes you feel pissed off
> You’ve worked on projects with millions (if not billions) of views
> Your friends think you’re a magic internet wizard
This video did 4 million views in 48hrs.
Our team is 100 ppl from all over the world, with an office in NYC. We’ve won Emmys, we’ve done 10B+ views combined.
You’d work directly with CEOs of billion dollar companies and all of your videos would get millions of views. I can guarantee you’d leave your job at Shown with a 10xed portfolio.
If you think you can write at this level, DM me your best pitch on why you’re a fit. Or if you refer someone we hire, I’ll send you $5,000)

Every launch we do get's millions of views. Most change the trajectory of our companies business.
Attention has never been more important.
Products are commoditized thanks to @claudeai and @OpenAI
The largest tech companies in the world aren't growing because they have a better product they are growing because they distribute better.
This is why our services are in extreme demand. We have more companies that want to work with us than we can support.
We've had companies go raise $30 million+ because of our work.
Our team is now 70 people with 2 offices (one on Madison ave in NYC).

I just joined @shownmedia as a Launch Strategist.
We help tech companies launch videos that go viral and trend #1 on X, consecutively.
20+ years ago, I started in affiliate marketing. Building websites, running offers, learning traffic before most people knew what that meant.
in 2013, I started creating content. Grew my personal brand to 100K, then lost it to a YouTube network. Best lesson I ever got. I decided no creator should have to go through that alone.
What followed kick started me to growing a channel from 20K to 1M subscribers in a year. Almost unheard of at the time. Built my own channels to 300K- 500K. Then built one of the first ever full YouTube teams. An office, editors, filmers, scriptwriters, you name it. Taught them everything there is to know to make a killing in this space..
Then in 2015 I launched my own agency. For nearly a decade I worked behind the scenes with some of the biggest names on the platform. Skydoesminecraft, Mark Rober, UnspeakableGaming, MooseCraft, SML, and many more you already know I have been part of.
Ever since I've never looked back. I was always comfortable in the background. I put myself second so others could win. I watched a lot of people grow because of what I gave. Not one second do I regret it.
It has been a long road getting to where I am today. It is time to step it up and really put myself out there and show what I am made of.
A huge thank you to @MitcheIl @Oasiszn @mattepstein, Andy and everyone in the team for giving me this opportunity to work alongside great minds.
Shown Media moves the same way I have always operated and I know how big this can get.
We are hiring across every team. If you want to be part of something bigger than yourself, DM me.
RT @callumhyman24: I officially joined @shownmedia.

Instead of paying $20 to go to to movies (where I get kicked out half the time for sneaking in hot dogs) I’ll just pay $8 and generate my own movie at home
