This bollard protects Walmart aisles. There’s a company that manufactures these. And it’s owner is probably a millionaire Solve boring problems.

This is the first post from this account I have disagreed with. Yes, the job market is bad, but this is a clear case of someone utilizing an emerging technology in their current role, and naturally progressing. Today, the same effect is happening with AI. People are learning AI on the job. Their boss is asking them to use AI, or they decide to automate part of their job, or leadership picks a person interested in AI to build some tools. Any time there is a new technology, companies will often look to their internal team before hiring externally. Hiring an AI expert right now would be extremely expensive, as demand is high, but supply is low. Giving a someone on their team extra work & forcing them to learn will take longer, but doesn’t cost anything extra. If the company scales massively, that person becomes the head of their AI department! If that person gets fired, they put their learnings on their CV, and their salary at their next role goes up. So yes, a guy studying physics, with no coding experience, got hired in IT. Thousands of people are learning AI now, with no previous experience, and will work in the AI industry for decades. Thousands will learn the next technology, too. Complaining as if this is a practice of a past era makes no sense. It has happened, is happening, and will continue to happen, forever. You can hate the new technology and be blind to this truth (millions hated computers!) Or adapt, improve, and become more capable. The choice is yours.
It feels surreal hearing older generations explain how they landed the jobs that eventually became their careers

The Porsche Mission S is supposed to be an homage to the GT1. The problem: it’s UGLY. I will never understand why porsche chose this spec. It looks like one of the new Jaguar EVs, completely sterile. The GT1 has distinct styling that’s emphasized. The roof scoop, the canards and the sideskirts pop out and frame the car. We don’t know if it’s just the spec, but the black roof scoop, canards, and sideskirts appear as shadows, creating negative space. They almost appear as cutouts or punctures to the frame, instead of the aggressive features they are. The lack of a wing makes the Mission S feel extremely front-heavy, and combined with the negative space, the Mission S feels naked. The most atrocious sin of all are the body lines. Completely parallel to the ground. The GT1 has a beautiful, swooping body line from the top of headlights to the duckbill that curve. The Mission S has a primary body line running from the turn signals, completely straight to intersect 3/4 through the rear wheel? The Mission S could greatly benefit by paint-matching the roof scoop and sideskirts, and a dramatic rear wing above the integrated wing. And, if Porsche decides to be so bold, a color that isn’t a paint match to Millennial Grey and a background that isn’t the same as the body color. I’m the biggest Porsche lover in the world, and I want more than anything to love the Mission S. Maybe there’s a higher trim level with a wing, maybe it looks better in person, maybe it’s just the spec. I will never understand why Porsche decided to present a car this important in this way.

Blur was a toxic parasite on the entire ecosystem. Their lending systems & points incentives forcefully liquidated hundreds of millions You’d still be trading NFTs today if blur never existed. Goodbye. Good riddance. Never come back.
1/ The blur.io frontend will be deprecated on November 12, 2026. This deprecation only applies to the frontend. The Blur marketplace protocol will remain operational on-chain, and $BLUR will continue to control its fee switch.
