There can be no transformation in education without #financing. Data shows that we need to go beyond “existing commitments of 4-6% GDP & 15-20% of spending” to ensure every child is educated. @DavidArcherAA outlines key actions. @WBG_Education @TransformingEdu @GPforEducation
This month @UN’s @antonioguterres is convening Heads of State for the #TransformingEducation Summit. Our Senior Lead on Economic Justice, @DavidArcherAA was appointed in April to be the convenor of the finance track which is central to everything. #BackToSchool 🧵 1/12

On Thursday, I was driving behind these two cars (UG 4183C &
UG2689C) on Entebbe Express Highway). They moved very slowly all the way, blocking both lanes - with a soldier pushing out his hand to warn me not to overtake them. After paying to use the road!

This is so hilarious the moment they realize he's an FBI Agent, but the sad thing here is that if he was just a normal black guy he would be behind bars and that's the saddest fact bout the US police

The increased care role of girls for the elderly, ill family members as well as for siblings who are out of school limits their participation in distance learning.#ActionAidTalksUG @MariaBalsera3 @OlongRichard1 @actionaiduganda @JoyEcstasy @JulieJuma1 @nicksonogwal
The system is still based on physical presence, vagaries such as weather and the shamba usually come between the learner and their education. The distance involved also contribute to absenteeism as supervision is not as strict as should be. #ActionAidTalksUG
TV lessons are so fast, spelling is a challenge 4 lower primary, TV/radio are not at every family, poor network connectivity & inadequate free learning material. #ActionAidTalksUG @OlongRichard1 @JoyEcstasy @actionaiduganda @JulieJuma1 @MariaBalsera3 @nicksonogwal

Distribution Materials have been received by the RDCs,however, these are inadequate whilst the mechanism of distribution may not be conclusive for the final user.
So, some schools are sending their students homework online, how about those that can't access computers or phones. #InclusiveEducation @actionaiduganda @kibxxx
Some rural households share radios or listen from the neighbor, who can sustain the cost of batteries whilst struggling to put food on table?

Me I am in the village, so most of people access food
However people in lock towns have little access to food.
Thefood the government is serving is not enough for people's survival.
Old & disabled suffer most in this situation
