2/2 It certainly had nothing to do with two countries in a trade dispute. Your selection of a passage meant to encourage people who would have been considered illegal immigrants is somewhat ironic. Context (who wrote it, who’s it written to ) matters in how we apply Scripture.
1/2This is from a letter Paul wrote(from prison In Rome)to the persecuted church that was scattered. Many of the Christians he was writing to did not have Roman citizenship and would have no legal rights in the place that they lived.

I appreciate that you didn't hide your journey with your kids. I'm sure you have given them many beautiful lessons, but in time I believe your faith story might be the one they appreciate the most. Well done.

Why we need professional journalists: @JDVance rep tells @wsj about Anna Kilgore, a Springfield OH woman whose cat went missing in August, so @Kris_Maher drives to her house. She found the cat in her basement and apologized to her Haitian neighbors.
And the roots of spiritual division/apostasy/idolatry can just as easily found coming from keyboards of political pundits as it can from pulpits.
I addressed it and prayed for Trump and those grieving the loss of life, as I would have if it were Biden or anyone else. I resent the suggestion that a pastor who didn’t choose to mention is somehow an apostate coward or less than faithful. This spiritual battle isn’t new.(1/2)

The Putin regime murders political dissidents, slaughters Ukrainian children, holds hostage Russian orphans hostage, and persecutes religious minorities (including evangelical Christians).
Christians, above all people, ought to recognize how anti-Christ all that is.
