As we have always said, ZANU PF does NOT have the numbers they needed. Only 181 ZANU PF MPs voted in favour of #CAB3 falling short of the required 187. The Bill only passed in the National Assembly because of the Tshabangu factor. History will judge harshly those who betrayed the people.

COURT ENDS TWO-MONTHS DETENTION OF PRO-DEMOCRACY CAMPAIGNERS OVER ANTI-2030 PROTEST
The month-long detention of pro-democracy campaigner Emmanuel Sitima has come to an end after Mbare Magistrate Tinashe Ndokeraset him free by ordering his release from prison on bail.
Sitima, a former leader of the Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU), had spent 64 days in both police and prison detention after he was arrested by Zimbabwe Republic Police officers on 14 May 2026 and charged with malicious damage to property as defined in section 140 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act and also disorderly conduct in a public place as defined in section 41 (a) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act.
According to prosecutors, Sitima allegedly threw some fliers written “Save Zimbabwe Campaign, No to 2030” at some residence in Harare including throwing stones at the same residence, which reportedly damaged a window pane valued at US$10. Sitima was first denied bail at Mbare Magistrates Court and later appealed against his denial of freedom at the High Court, where his appeal was dismissed.
This then compelled his lawyers, Arnold Tsungaand Jeremiah Bamu of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR), to file a new application at Mbare Magistrates Court asking for the release of Sitima on bail, based on changed circumstances, considering that Takunda Mhuka, his co-accused person, had been set free by the High Court.
On Wednesday 17 June 2026, Sitima was set free by Magistrate Ndokera, who granted him US$100 bail and ordered him to continue residing at his given residential address, to report once every fortnight at a local police station and not to interfere with state witnesses.
Meanwhile, Mhuka, a pro-democracy campaigner, who was represented by Marufu Mandevere of ZLHR, is a relieved man after he was granted US$100 bail on 11 June 2026 by High Court Judge Justice Esther Muremba, who also ordered him to report once every fortnight at a local police station and to continue residing at his given residential place and not to interfere with state witnesses.

President Liberty, Dylan, Richard and Takunda were granted bail by the High Court yesterday. Yet they remain behind bars tonight. Court clerks made errors in the record. Now we’re told an urgent chamber application is needed to fix paperwork. This is not justice. Denying bail through administrative processes must be condemned. It violates their constitutional right to bail.
We demand their immediate release. #FreeThemNow

OPEN LETTER TO MAKOMBORERO HARUZIVISHE
Dear @MakomboreroH
I would like to publicly express my sincere gratitude for taking the time to join our X Space yesterday. Although you came in later during the discussion, your willingness to engage with participants and answer questions from the audience was greatly appreciated.
In a time when many public figures and civic leaders avoid direct engagement with citizens, your openness to dialogue demonstrated a commendable commitment to accountability, transparency, and public participation. The listeners valued the opportunity to hear your perspectives and interact with you directly.
I would also like to apologize for not giving proper closing remarks at the end of the Space. After a long day, I was extremely tired and ended up going straight to bed without formally concluding the discussion or properly thanking everyone who had participated.
Mako, please consider this an open invitation. My platform is always available to you. Whenever there is an issue you would like to discuss, clarify, debate, or bring to the attention of the public, feel free to contact me privately or simply tag me on X. I will gladly make you a special guest and provide a platform for constructive engagement with citizens.
Whether the topic concerns constitutional matters, civic engagement, governance, democracy, or any issue affecting our people, you will always be welcome to use my platform to share your views and engage with the public.
Thank you once again for your contribution to yesterday’s discussion and for your continued commitment to public dialogue.

Madzibaba veShanduko has been found not guilty after spending months in detention for an offence he did not commit. While we welcome his acquittal, we must not lose sight of the injustice he endured. An innocent man spent months behind bars for a case that has now been dismissed. His acquittal is not only a vindication of his innocence but also an indictment of a system that subjected him to unlawful and unnecessary detention. #NoTo2030

Today is D-Day for Madzibaba VeShanduko. My heart is heavy as I think about him standing before that court, waiting for a ruling that could change everything. After everything the State has put forward, he has remained strong and now we finally wait to hear if the discharge will be granted. This man has carried so much on his shoulders, and through it all, he never wavered in his faith. I cannot help but feel emotional knowing how much is riding on this moment not just for him, but for everyone who believes in justice and truth. My prayers are with him right now, that the Judge will see clearly, that fairness will prevail and that he will walk out of that courtroom with his head held high. May God give him peace that surpasses all understanding, and may the outcome bring him the relief he so deeply deserves. Stay strong, Madzibaba ,We are with you through it all.

From the day I heard that my brother and comrade Emmanuel Sitima had been denied bail by the High Court, my heart has been filled with anger, pain and deep grief over what our Judiciary system is rapidly becoming. Every passing day, it becomes clearer that justice in Zimbabwe is no longer blind — it is captured, selective, and increasingly being weaponised against young people who dare to think, speak, and organise.
Cdes, this situation is now getting completely out of hand. We can not continue normalising this nonsense as if it is acceptable in a constitutional democracy. We can not continue watching young leaders being criminalised simply for raising their voices against injustice and the dangerous political direction our country is taking.
What is happening to Emmanuel Sitima and other conscious young citizens is bigger than one individual. It is a warning shot directed at an entire generation — a message meant to instill fear, silence dissent, and discourage organisation. But history has taught us that oppression always reaches a point where people can no longer remain silent.
Frantz Fanon wrote in The Wretched of the Earth in 1961:
“When we revolt, it’s not for a particular culture. We revolt simply because, for many reasons, we can no longer breathe.”
Cdes, many of us can no longer breathe under this collapsing and repressive system. We are watching institutions that are supposed to defend justice, becoming instruments of political persecution. We are watching the law being twisted to punish courage, leadership, and revolutionary consciousness.
The question is no longer whether things are bad. The question is: how much more are we willing to tolerate before we organise ourselves into action?
Silence is no longer an option. Neutrality is no longer an option. The time to organise, mobilise, and defend justice is now.

Today marks 220 days since Godfrey Karembera also known as ‘Madzibaba veShanduko’ was arrested on 20 October 2025 on allegations of inciting public violence through the alleged distribution of fliers calling for protests.
Replying to @vingiknowy @antomukuwa
A few things built into Kose to close that gap:
Driver side: drivers are instructed to only accept trips from the app. No walk ups, no verbal requests. If it is not in the system, it is not covered and we cannot protect the driver.

NEW EPISODE #OneManOneVote
Here's a deep dive into how #CAB3 takes away YOUR right to vote for the President and gives it to a totally undemocratic Parliament. Find out why a kleptocrat only needs to buy off 186 MPs to become President and how ZANU PF (or rather a Zvigananda faction of ZANU PF) would retain power with just 30% of the vote. There is still time to make your submission to Parliament by emailing [email protected] by 18 May. #NoToCAB3 #ZimSaysNo
