Canada and the EU are natural partners, united by shared values.
With President von der Leyen and President Metsola, we focused on what comes next: a deeper partnership that reinforces our mutual sovereignty to create more opportunities and prosperity for our peoples.
Had a great time at my old stomping grounds ✨ Western University ✨ doing skin rounds with the skin team and pathology residents — thank you for an awesome time, my pathology family!
🔬💅💥 & caught a Jays game to boot- of course! 🌭⚾️ #PathTwitter #dermpath @SchulichMedDent

I just gave a lecture about this.
This is bullous pemphigoid: IgG antibodies against 180, 230 or p200 kDa antigens within the DEJ (hemidesmosome) and it looks like this: subepidermal inflammatory eosinophilic bulla.
#dermatopathology🔬💕

Striking histopathology of a metastatic melanoma that's been nearly entirely destroyed by immunotherapy. All that's left is melanin debris and dead tumor cells.

✅ Pseudomyogenic hemangioendothelioma 🎯🩸
• Composed of sheets and fascicles of spindled to epithelioid cells with dense, myoid-like eosinophilic cytoplasm.
• Tumors co-express keratins and vascular markers like FLI1 and ERG (but are often negative for CD34).
• Characterized by FOSB gene rearrangements (e.g., SERPINE1::FOSB).
• This is a rarely metastasizing endothelial neoplasm that often mimics a myoid tumor or epithelioid sarcoma.
Thank you Lauren Vandenbrook for these headshots-✨looking like a real #pathologist ✨& I will add that my Mom really likes the white coat shot - “oh Allison! you look just like a doctor” 😅Thanks, Ma🔬🔥#pathology #headshot 📸lvimagery.ca📸 @MUNMed @NL_HealthServ

I am doing fine, just a busy bee in a field of all kinds florishing pathology flowers, picking the nectar from them. Good to hear you are doing great. Applying fellowship? in what field? I use this beautiful Poroma to welcome you back #dermpath🥰
A generous, selfless, magnanimous human and leader in our field of #dermpath and #medicine overall. Rest in peace dear @ProfRAScolyer
Not the best day ever..... Today I had another scan of my brain followed by further discussions with the neuro-oncology team who continue their wonderful care. There seems to be further progression of my brain tumour (glioblastoma) affecting brain functioning (as me and a few close friends can feel/see). Whilst it is a bit disappointing, in the big picture it's not the end of the road and I’ve got more to do! I love and enjoy challenges. I certainly haven't stopped yet. Hopefully I can share more special times with family and friends, and continue to advocate for cancer patients.

How well do you know your leukemia cuti, and the stains that help you subclassify them? Se the digital slides and the 4 IHC that accompany the case. Then scroll down for the patient's prior history.
