October surprise is going well
Mediaite: Bipartisan outrage has erupted over a political ad in Ohio featuring Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Actonโ€™s estranged mother slamming her daughter as a โ€œliar.โ€ Philip Stearns, Actonโ€™s brother, released a statement vociferously condemning Ramaswamy โ€œplatforming their estranged and abusive motherโ€ as โ€œa despicable low.โ€ Conservative commentator Mary Katherine Ham commented she thought it was โ€œcrazyโ€ anyone would think this ad would not โ€œbackfireโ€ to use โ€œ[a]n estranged mom from a rough childhood going straight to camera to trash her daughter.โ€ mediaite.com/politics/vivek-โ€ฆ

The far left giving credit to a white supremacist was actually on my bingo card.
Briahna Joy Gray gives credit to Tucker Carlson for wanting to break ties with Israel and being anti-interventionist compared to Democrats. She wants Tucker to force Republicans to contend with Trump's populist rhetoric instead of getting J.D. Vance. She worries that Tucker will be a Republican version of Bernie Sanders, by which she means a candidate who runs to the left or right of their party but pushes their supporters to vote for the nominee.

Honestly? At this time last year, he was talking about increasing aid to Israel, or at least keeping it constant. Now heโ€™s shifting his attention away from aid to Israel, and focusing that attention where it belongs: security for synagogues. So itโ€™s a massive improvement, tbh. My position for the last two years has been that weโ€™ve got to stop funding Israel abroad and weโ€™ve got to fight the rise of antisemitism at home. So this should make you happy. Schumer has shifted attention away from funding Israel because even he realizes thatโ€™s a nonstarter, and is shifting that attention to where it belongs: protecting Jews. Now I still wonโ€™t even dare to read the comments underneath the quoted tweet, because a loud contingent on the left think antisemitism is fake and/or justified. But the majority on the left can absolutely get behind the position that even Chuck Schumer is now shifting towards: stop funding Israel, protect Jews at home.
Senate Dem leader Chuck Schumerโ€™s midterms pledge to the Jewish community: โ€œWhen I become โ€” God-willing โ€” majority leader, we will get even more money โ€ฆ for our nonprofit security grants so desperately needed by the Jewish community and other communities facing this scourge of bigotry in America.โ€

Vivekโ€™s ad with Amy Actonโ€™s mother is one of the most despicable things Iโ€™ve ever seen in politics. Heโ€™s arguably the most unlikable person in the history of peopleโ€ฆbecause of stuff like this. By the end of the day, Ohioans will learn what happen to Amy as a 12-year old girl, how her mother lost custody of Amy as a result, and what a disgrace Vivek is for pulling this.

Fuck every single politician in the US who is enabling this by not backing Ukraine aid How can people watch this horror unfold and still be silent
A horrific Russian strike in the Kharkiv region. A โ€œshahedโ€ struck people directly โ€“ in a park near an ordinary cafรฉ. Pure atrocity. Six people were killed, including children. A little girl was killed in a stroller โ€“ her name was Angelina, she was just over a year old, born in August 2025โ€ฆ Her motherโ€™s name was Inna. She died in the hospitalโ€ฆ Another girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children. I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps us shoot down โ€œshaheds,โ€ shoot down missiles, and stop Russian assaults. These are horrific photos, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. You can't think about making money with Russia as long as it continues its asinine war. We ask that sanctions on Russia stay in place as long as the killings continue. We ask America to be strong, and we ask it to apply the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask that everything possible be done to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killing all this time. The world has enough strength to stop the war. That strength must finally be used โ€“ against the murderers.

In what way does winning 193 of 577 seats entitle the French left to a Prime Minister of their choice lol. The right-wing parties won 209 seats!
We did, over a year ago. We were supposed to have a leftist prime minister but Macron decided he didnโ€™t give a fuck about elections and popular vote and he appointed an ultra right winged PM. So now weโ€™re rioting

France constantly revolts and nothing changes about the country. We call that a ritualistic waste of time.
America doesn't have a revolutionary culture, it's just a LARP. People in France set buildings on fire over a 1% tax increase while Americans just kinda watch as the state abducts people off the street.

Remind me who got Benjamin Netanyahu elected in 1996? That's right, Hamas. Before their suicide bombing campaign, Peres (leftist) was up 20% in the polls. After the campaign, he was up 2%. If Palestinians could just resist the urge to bomb buses they'd have a state.
